Hi,

I had to move my 12.88 ETH from an external wallet to yobit.net but i mistakenly pasted USDT address instead and the amount was successfully sent.   Infact the USDT address where i sent my ETH belongs to yobit also and is it is actually my USDT address on yobit.
I raised a support ticket to yobit but since after 24 hours there are no responses.
Kindly help me to find any way i can reach yobit's support, any perfect solution/suggestion that helps me recover my funds will get 1 ETH  reward for sure.

Here you can check the tx and balance i sent to USDT wallet https://etherscan.io/address/0xeebd1110dd0444a85af882db340d7dd9f32611f4

What is the ETH address u have sent to? TX id? Check if your deposit address for ETH is the same as for USDT on yobit.

I don't believe it is possible, the best thing would be to wait for their support.

It is not same , but of course this USDT address is also  belonging to them and they might have private key to this wallet also.
yobits gives separate addresses for each coin. Is it possible yobit having control over private key of this ETH address ?

It is not same , yobit gives separate addresses for each coin.
Only thing you can try is to create a support ticket again and ask for admin help in the trollbox.

It's not possible to recover your funds even if you sent it to the same USDT wallet address on your Yobit account, because it's a different coins/blockchain. Your ETH is lost forever afaik. Do correct me if I'm wrong.

Are you sure? Tether is ERC20 token. It means that it's on Ethereum network. And no matter which Blockchain on Ethereum network, your account (0xeebd1110dd0444a85af882db340d7dd9f32611f4) could be used for any Ethereum Blockchains. Like on Metamask, you change Blockchains, but account remains the same. So if you own this account, it means you own it for any Blockchain on Ethereum, and Tether also. I guess it will be possible for yobit support to solve this situation. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Yes it can be but yobit are the holder of the tether private keys not the Op

You're somehow right because the chance of the OP getting back his ETH is 30% cause most crypto exchange don't offer such services which is why they usually warn their customers not make the mistake of sending coin to wrong address. However, yobit already have the issue of late response and scam last year.

edit.
I guess I am wrong, Tether operate now on both Omni and as an ERC0, so there are 2 different protocols, but since you sent to the ERC20 one then there is a chance to get it back, but good luck getting help from Yobit, they are known for a lot of shady and scammy staff so I doubt they will make an effort to bring you your money back.

Obviously it is solvable, but I won't want op to think there is in any chance of yobit obliging to help him recover the assets, It could have been much easier or not even a problem if yobit had generated the same address for ERC 20 tokens for each user.

I can confirm there's a chance for OP to recover his funds.

Once I accidentally sent an ERC-20 token to ETH by mistake on Hitbtc. Had to pay $100 to recover but they were eventually retrieved.

So now we could only rely on the trustworthiness of yobit support. They own a lot of assets, and they know what is the lifetime value of a client, so let's hope they will help  Smiley

I don't know why you end up using that exchange while people trying to avoid them, did you fall the high value of that coin in yobit than in any other exchange?

To solve your issue, the only thing you can do is, contact their support, explain all the things happened. And ask them if it's possible for you to recover your funds, but don't expect they will give you the private key of the address to recover your eth, coz obviously they will never do that.

And one thing, don't expect your problem will be solved as early as possible, yobit is known having its worst customer support, they reply mostly week(s), worst months. Only if they made their new year's resolution to improve that.

Bl4nkcode is correct.
Only the exchange can help you. They are the only ones with he private keys.

However it is costly and risky for them to do that. So you will probably have to wait a long time for this problem to be solved.

I suggest that you go to telegram and Twitter etc, all social media and open your ticket as soon as possible. Your problem is not easily solved, as it involves security of their wallets.

Very unfortunate, this is a mistake that many users do, not thorough and did not double check when making transactions. Other people will be very difficult to help solve this problem, I did not see any other way except to try hard to communicate with the yobit and be patient. Usually things like this will go through a long time, hopefully your problem can be resolved quickly.

I usually double check whenever i have to make transfers, it is likely my first error that i made.   But indeed i could have been much easier if yobit provided same address to client for both USDT and ETH.
According to info (Cryptoprimes) shown us here, it is veey possible for yobit to recover my funds but they are obviously not like good exchanges customer support.   I am just waiting for their reply and trying all the ways to reach them,  lets cooperate together and forget this exchange forever if they don't listen to their valued customers like me who have traded mostly on their pltform for millions of worth dollars but if they still don't care for their valued customers, they deserve to make their exchange a most hatered !  I will update if they ever reply ny tickets

I am using this exchange for more then 2 yrs and till now i have seen lot of users who have wrongly deposited tokens/coin to other wallet and till date no solution has been given to any user.

Yobit Exchange is the worst exchange and scammers who are very old exchange but till date they are in negative exchange criteria by any reputed site suggestions.

so to be clear you have to be lucky if your problem is solved. Just pray to god and My best of luck to your problem solution

The best solution to this is to contact the support, all we can give here is just give our suggestion and opinion but it's only the exchange itself can answer you. You are sending a big money but you did not double check everything, we are in crypto man where transactions are irreversible, I am not really sure with USDT but most exchanges would tell you to make sure it's the specific coin or token, otherwise you will loss your deposits.

IMO, if transactions are successfully deposited to their account then I guess you have a chance to recover it,  but it's up to the exchange if they are willing to help you, if so,  they will give you the proper procedure to get your money back.

Maybe it's time for yobit to participate here and change the image of the public a little bit on why they should not be called a shitty exchange.
