Oh my God ! I used this exchange only once and didn't keep any money there. I'm sorry about the guys who traded on this exchange. But now is the time to scammers found quickly and the exchange will open for withdrawal. I hope that justice will prevail !
And I have many tokens on the exchange. Any exchange could have been hacked. Someone uses one exchange, someone else or several exchanges.

I think cryptopia has been hacked and there is no scam from them to get away with the money.
They handling of the hack seems to be very professional and they have turned on the authorities very fast.
That is why it is hard for me to believe it is a scam.

Any exchange can be broken if it does not have reliable protection. It's all very clear. Think how many new exchanges that will be blown can be hacked. So how to check the time of their safety will not work.

That's what I'm thinking too since they are a registered company in NZ then it would be hard for them if this hack issue turn out to be a scam or fraud though exchange hacking is not new on crypto space because they are one of top list target for hackers.

We will have to wait for the investigation how the hack happened. There are some rumors
that it was an insider job and not a hack at all. I think this time we will find out what happened
as some of the funds are already identified on Binance and frozen.

Do you Think Cryptopia Was hacked Or They are just Trying To  Run Away with peoples money  !!

Who knows about it. It should be answered after an investigation only. However, in simple analysis, Cryptopia is quite impossible to run away with people's money. I think every exchanges will avoid the such cases that possibly kill their reputation. The sustainability of the exchange must be the priority for them, it is much more valuable than money. In this case, I assume it is purely hacked cases.

If that is truly true, I felt sorry for the exchange and most of all for the users on it. But if its not, they got it well prepared. I am glad that I make it out early due to their security issues lately. And their poor costumer service.

No, there is something to be hidden. As far as I see there are manipulations by cryptopia.
These guys could simply cheat with customers and make fake hack. In reality they scammed users. Yeah, it was exit scam!

Any exchanger Platform can be hacked, it is not new to the crypto currency market
But cryptopia has not been unable to provide legibly proof of the hack activities except for the missing etherum and tokens

What bothers me is that, how did the hackers  have enough time to cart away multiple tokens

Given that the "hackers" were actually dumb enough to send money to Binance, police probably has a lead on who's trying to liquidate the ethers.

if the hackers are really that stupid and send the coins to an account with a real name, that would not be smart. but surely they use a purchased account at binance. either way it is a pity that cryptopia was hacked.

Good question, because I speculate that if you're a smart hacker, why would you moved your funds to Binance and be trace? So it means that hacker is too dumb or maybe it was no hacker after all? Maybe a inside job or something? someone who knows how to move funds but not knowledgeable to use mixing services? Hmm....

I think there's more story than this so called hacks. First, as what others have said, trying to liquidate the stolen coins to Binance? bad move. Second, what took Cryptopia took so long to act and freeze the withdrawals? I'm 100% sure that the authorities will caught who is really the people behind this heist specially that Binance has all the logs of the deposits.

In the world of the internet, anything can happen, usually, hackers are smarter than we thought, this makes me even worse to face, which is certain we must be able to protect our assets well. What happened to this Cryptopia I also could not guess and prejudice because the case is like this, just hoping the team and the police can handle this problem quickly.

it is a doubt that an exchange with a high end security will be hacked like simple as that. the factor of inside job has a great possibility, though it is a right of the customer to file case on a platform that promise to protect your investments.

It seems they are not hiding anything because they involve the police and tech authorities if this is true they will be caught if this is an inside job, and it will harm their reputation as well if it turns out that this is an inside job, we'll wait for more news about this hacked

We will wait for the news of Cryptopia with hacking cases being handled by the police, of course, this will take time, and indeed those who do insiders certainly have decisive actions and this will have an impact on their reputation, so expect the police to immediately find the perpetrators and motives for this incident.

It's time to say goodbye to Cryptopia there are so many exchanges in the market today, if you are exchanging top coins then prefer more secured ones, I only traded here because some of the coins in my portfolio are not traded on other exchanges.

Yes, it is regrettable that the Cryptopia market must be hacked like that, because the Crypto world is very vulnerable to hacking, because the Crypto market is money, and sometimes has a thin security, so it is easy to hack. Hopefully the case that befell Cryptopia can be a learning for other exchange markets.
