What to expect from crypto in 2019?

The answer is: “nobody knows for sure". Scott Galloway, a professor at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), believes crypto will have a worse year in 2019. Jim Breyer, a billionaire venture capitalist, said that the world’s best computer scientists are moving to the blockchain industry and it would be risky to challenge smart talent flocking to crypto. Pantera Capital’s CIO Joey Krug believes, while Bitcoin may become digital gold, it cannot succeed as money given its volatility. Moreover, a dynamic monetary policy doesn’t exist within bitcoin which severely affects its volatility. Bitcoin developer Jimmy Song says the original cryptocurrency can be a powerful tool to usher in a “peaceful revolution.” What can be said for sure is that crypto will remain one of the hottest topic for discussion and analyses from expert all over the world in 2019.

I am more agreed to Jimmy Song where the cryptocurrency is a peaceful revolution and will always be strong in everything, now it almost seems impossible to rise, but anything can happen with the presence of good players in crypto, except everyone wants to drop crypto and no longer believe in crypto.

I don't believe what Scott Galloway said, of course I believe in Jimmy Song's words that if crypto has a bright future, crypto has caught the world's attention and I'm sure crypto will improve in the future while crypto users are currently increasing.

We will see the next date of hardfork after the next meeting of ethereum developers. it's much better rather than forced the blockchain to implement that EIP that contains vulnerability.

what that statement you posted is true for, is for when you talk about the existing  altcoins that are still dumping. THEY will continue dumping and have a very hard time pumping up again because people no longer trust them.

The market for the better part of 2018 was brutal unfavorable to investors and bounty hunters alike. All these were due to the negative sentiments all over the crypto-currencies ecosystem due impart to the uncertainty surrounding the use and acceptability of crypto-currencies in our everyday business exchanges but as 2019 beckons the least one expects is a turn around of fortunes. I don't know about you but I really expect a bull run or something good about the price of crypto market. My portfolio has been shrinking since last year, and I hope I could gain/get back some of my capital.

I think it's important to seperate the "what to expect from crypto" and "what to expect from my investments", seemingly many put an equal sign between those two nowadays.
overall the future of crypto is very bright, but yet we're in a quite young stage - even in january the total market cap of every single coin together was similar to what a singular company like Apple's marketcap is today.
That's remarkable considering how many actually genuinely cutting edge projects are being built using blockchain!

so, I think we can expect great news during the year, but will people be ready to flock back to crypto? that's a whole other question, and considering how many people are still down 90% of their january investments, and how that generally market cycles are close to 10 years(although crypto is generally perceived to be faster); it might either way be a bit early to start another bullrun this year.

I am waiting for good news from Ethereum in this year. I learnt about Bitcoin about 3 years ago. And I always read about Ethereum will overtake Bitcoin in someday. I am waiting what Ethereum big rise and go for moon. I hope it will be done in 2019.
