As centralized exchanges would be hacked again and again, decentralized exchanges would be the future.
But it will certainly take longer for them to finally prevail.
Nevertheless, i am convinced that they will be used more in the future.

I think that decentralized exchanges are what you need for cryptocurrencies, but the problem is that centralized exchanges are more likely to displace them.

I think that every sensible person wants to be responsible for their funds or to have a 100% guarantee. Not all centralized exchanges are able to give such guarantees. |

it's a good sign that appear more and more decentralized exchanges but they still can't compare to centralized exchanges which have the most trading volumes. may be in 2019 something will go differ.

through the alternate cryptocurrencies announcement section, you can find hundreds of ICOs for building
decentralized exchanges.

I can’t agree that decentralized exchanges will become more popular in 2019. There are no prerequisites for this yet. However, in my opinion, with increased control from regulatory agencies, decentralized exchanges will find their niche in the market and get regular users.

IMO, if Decentralized exchanges are the future we will by now start seeing big exchanges closing shop and moving into Decentralized exchanges, for me, CZ is trying to explore this option but as long as their is no fiat gate way for Decentralized exchanges they will still continue to play second fiddle to the centralized ones because we all know the importance of Fiat in the success of an exchange

Decentralized exchanges are seriously now taken into consideration by so many projects.
Sometimes, when they list on centralized exchange, they may decide to include decentralized exchange as part of it, because they know that there are some people who prefer it.
Those who trade ERC20 tokens for instance, and like decentralized always prefer IDEX.

This might possibly be seen as the most popular thoughts.
At least, almost half of the projects I have been involved in, I have seen the community asked for decentralized exchange.
This is a sign that, it might be the mist demanded for in thus year and crypto enthusiasts are beginning to stick more to decentralization than centralization.

Well, those are what make the decentralized exchanges are so popular with its anonymity and other benefits to be gained in this crypto world. So far, there are many more dex than the centralized one. However of course, it will give the positive and negative sides because we may not be able to ensure that the exchange is trusted or not. But, so far, we can check them on CMC to define whether it is on the top list of not.

Unfortunately, while technically decentralized exchanges are much inferior to ordinary exchanges, if a convenient platform appears and a fast blockchain capable of processing a large number of transactions per second this year, then maybe something will work out, but it will not happen right away.
