Mistake you should avoid when holding your Altcoins

I think many of us making a mistake when we hold altcoin and the greediness comes to us and tells that the price can increase higher but the reality, the price we saw is the highest price and we are late to sell because the price is down in the next minute. I have those bad experiences too, and I think it's normal to get that experience and if we can learn from the mistake, I think we can avoid the same mistake in the future.

Yeah, I made an even bigger mistake. I got coins earlier and didn't sell.
So my advice is not to get in love with coins that you have and make a profit.
You can buy them again later.

I suppose that the overwhelming majority of new traders make such a mistake, when the price goes up, it seems that it will always be and you don’t want to sell, and when the fall starts, you don’t want to sell because you have lost and wait for new growth, which may not come very soon.

We are in the same boat. The hope that another bull run with bigger pricing will come again, I hedl my coins even though their prices are very high. But after a year the bull run that I hoped never came and I was left with coins that had really depreciated their values. A lesson that I would never do again. Now I think I am more wiser and trade right away every time I see some gains.

Yeah you are right, holding tokens gotten from either bounties or airdrop is really not advisable best thing is to sell when it gets listed on exchanges to get some gains but if you have so much interest in the project, you can wait and watch for sometime before buying in again. It's not all airdrops and bounties that die off after listing on exchanges, some just need time.

You must create your own percentage, if you want to get profit 40% from that coin then after you get 40% sold that immediately don't think you can gain more because this is crypto, also you must create cut loss percentage too. Whenever you hit your loss percentage then sell it to avoid more loss

I think it is a good strategy to sell around 30-40 percents of your earning during the first listing to get some ETH or BTC but I am holding tokens that are left, because I am sure they will give profit on a bullish market.

I do not quite agree, since I had tokens that increased in price by 3 times, and then fell three times and all this for the period from may 2018 to the present moment. I think that it is impossible to attribute it to all the tokens.

it no longer makes sense to sell your coins right now. you should just start buying bitcoins for your fiat money

I think this is a very bad advice, you lost doesn't mean that everybody would lose.. I have sold some coins that I later regretted because some of them ended up doing as much as 1000% in just a few days, now I try to hold when I can.

Yeah I really agree with you. Most people don't sell their coins and choose to continue to wait until the coins they have reach their highest point. But, sometimes what they expect is not in accordance with what happened and this is what makes many people suffer losses. I myself choose to sell the coins that I have if I have benefited from them, even though the next day the coins will increase higher I will not regret it too much, because at least I have benefited from it.

Well you are right in a way but the thing is it depends on the type of altcoins you are holding. Some altcoins really don't have any idea behind their project and this makes the tokens dump and later not rise again. If the cryptocurrency is not from a working product i don't think it is safe to dolf tokens boy.

I totally agree with you, because the same thing happened to me. I got stuck in many projects during this long-lasting bear market and I hope at least some of them will recover.

My biggest mistake was getting greedy about my expectations in trading. Emotions are problem in trading journey so learning to control it will give better results than blindly trading.

People should still hold what is worth holding,  maybe sell some and hold some.. . it's a matter of principle to be honest, it's a bit fulfilling to hold good project especially in the good old days when people were sure good projects will rise in value.

right, I also have a suggestion like you. we should not be greedy for greater profits, because we do not know when the profits will come, we better sell when the coins we have and not wait long.
it's better to get a little but clear, rather than waiting for a lot of profit, but it's uncertain.

Make sure that you have enough knowledge on your holdings on what is the development on the token and its team.
Be updated always on their project and their exchanges, mostly pump will depend on new exchange (major) and project development like launching their platform.
Never hold for long any shitcoins.
