I think, It seems to me that one of the biggest fears in the crypto market is the fear of losing all savings, remaining in debt and becoming a beggar. And it is precisely this fear that often prevents reasonable decisions from being made.   Sometimes we can also do a lot of loss by  the HODL.

After a year, a lot of lessons that we did learn. There are 2 precious things that I think I should remember:

+ Fear
+ Greed

I learned that from my teacher, he said when you buy Bitcoin at 10k, it's then $12k your greed rises inside you and you don't want to take profit and expect more. Then, the downtrend is coming, BTC goes down to $8k, you'll be scared to cut loss, and what'll happen, you lose more while BTC drops to $4k.

So, we need to set up your expected profit point as well as the stoploss point.

That's basically what happened to me last 2017. I'm at 50% profit from my altcoins and I expected that it will grow more but in the end the value slides down. But I learned my lesson. I'm always setting now a target profit for me for every investment that I'll take.

For me greed is just curse, I really think so that being greedy is our weakness and to be a good trader or investor it is important not to be greedy, taking tension and being worry will not give anything but only pressure, those who become frustrated or greedy and sell their investment at panic surely lose and become poor so avoid all negative things.

Exactly, you are right we are going to lose a lot of money if we lose the patience, once we sell them coins the price of the coin will start increasing and this makes us loose confidence in our technical analysis. Once after realising we shouldn't follow the previous rules for making money, in trading we need to follow different according to the situation of the market.

yes your teacher is right we should not be greedy in investing in bitcoin. because if we are greedy we won't get anything. so when my $ 10k bitcoin price is bought and then rises to $ 12k I will sell and take a profit of $ 2k. then I will invest $ 10k again. it's better to get profit even a little than greedy but not get anything. greed makes us always expect prices to rise higher. while cryptocurrency is very volatile it cannot be predicted.

Yeah pretty much thats is if you look simply on market ups and downs, many lucks are involved if you aren't full time technical or trends analysis that know how the market goes EVERYDAY, greed is pretty much basic on individuals, i believe less than 20% person are genuinely passionate in bitcoins without caring about the prices, cryptomarket is a bleeding ground for those without any preparations, i learned to cut my loss cause its my decision when it set it, it helps me get bck confidences to refactor my mistakes with the price of selling lesser, earlier at least

The bull run that everyone kept talking about was due to speculation and manipulation pumping up the price. Let it be a lesson for you to book your profit and cash it out when the price rises and not become euphoric and keep holding during that time. You can always buy back with the fiat equivalent once the price drops again and drop will happen since whatever goes around has to come around. This is pretty evident today when market has slumped back to 4k from that 20k and I am sure whales are filling up their pockets at this price after they dumped it big.

Rumors will happen but you have to learn to turn a dead ear to those.

Missing the ath is the one that I've earned out of cryptocurrency market. By the time of bitcoin reaching its value I had a good volume of holdings and out of greed I began to keep hold of the assets. Soon after the same price began to fall low and my portfolio value began to decline as more and more assets started to fell low following bitcoin.
