Cryptocurrency promoter John McAfee, announces that he is charged by the IRS, flees US, heading towards Venezuela and still plans to run for the presidency. It's good though, he gets some attention towards crypto markets..haha

I can imagine how much money he has been getting it by promoting the ico. Each ico must pay 100k - 500k dollars for each advertisement through his twitter. i'm not getting any surprise when see he was getting charged by IRS.

I thought John McAfee has lost the plot some time ago when he publicly announced he was willing to eat his own appendage if Bitcoin didn't increase in value to $1m by the end of 2020. By the way 23 months and counting John / no Johnson

This guy has become a marketing tool for advertising about the cryptocurrency projects. He can do whatever for money like he can give a hype for BTC will reach 10k in two months, this is what he did last year.

i wouldn't trust the site posted here for such a news but it is not that unlikely either. McAfee has been obviously and actively participating in pump and dumps and has been advertising them all through 2017 and some before that. and we all know that according to the law, any kind of manipulation of the markets such as pump and dumps is illegal and has dire consequences.
IRS would be the start of these people's problems...

That's what make big money with people. It's a pity that McAfee began to rush from one extreme to another, and exchanged respect and "weight" in the digital world for advertising and wealth. But everyone chooses his own way.

is that all that happened? there was some link to a drug forum speculating he was a poster there, considering the way he acts, it might not be entirely a choice..   Roll Eyes

What credibility is that, did he ever have any?
Just another irrelevant old American hustler who has hitched his wagon to crypto and whose net effect is probably negative in terms of its general perception. He can be funny, but that's all.

In 2018 I think he made a lot of money from promoting ICO on his twitter, maybe he even made about $ 20-50 million. And all the ICOs he promoted are scam and people still support him very much, unbelievable

Nah he is not going to eat. I am not able to find that tweet (maybe he deleted) but he said that "by eating ..." he meant he will go to Thailand a get "eaten!". It was all a marketing ploy in the end. It's people like him, shilling and promoting useless icos that give cryptos a bad name.

Well if he gets elected we have a US president that is an ardent cryptocurrency supporter and it will be good for the community, I consider his intention to run for US president as good news, any cryptocurrency supporters that want a high position or already in a high position is good news for me.

He has become a public laughing stock, he cares only about money he makes advertising for ico but not his integrity good thing IRS are after him to me he is nothing but a clown who has used his polarity to his own personal advantage by enriching his pocket.

This is a sad new. John McAfee is not a person without talent but he seems to be blinded by money. After all, people look him as a greedy man. Im so sorry about that.

Today, McAfee isn't on the agenda. The news I just read was that he fled the country because of tax debt. I think it's the wrong person this time. I think Uncle SAM doesn't leave anybody in the world for his claim especially if it is related with tax. Smiley

One thing I like about him is that, he never stops loosing his self confidence, even if things are not the way he talks or speaks.
Is he done with crypto and his predictions that never materialize? Now the next is to think of contesting for presidency.
I believe he still has fans and followers that will support his new ambition.
Meanwhile, I am seriously awaiting what his next move will be and his he is going to manage it.

Anything can happen. This grandfather as a whole could lose his mind for a long time, but we listened to him and his experience is still very interesting, for example, about security and anonymity on the network. Therefore, it seems to me that this is an interesting person.

His bullish predicting of Bitcoin ruined investors. His ico pumps for cash. Should of paid the IRS. No one gets away with it. He wants to live like he does now. But it come with consequences. He's too rich, he can live on a boat. for most ppl follow the rules.
