I would not say that it was unexpected. Chennai bowling was really weak today, with Deshpande, Pathirana and Theekshana missing in the playing XI. And then as usual, Deepak Chahar got injured after bowling just 2 balls and Shardul Thakur had to complete his over. Their impact sub (Sameer Rizvi in place of Ajinkya Rahane) also made sure that Chennai Super Kings is well short of bowling options. Mustafizur Rahman was the only CSK bowler who was impressive. Everyone else leaked plenty of runs.

Expected tough luck for CSK when it was announced during toss that Pathirana wasn't going to play, yes Deshpande also didn't play but IMO Pathirana was a bigger blow.

I think it's slow and bowling pitch reason of low-scoring target. Mumbai Indians didn't score a big total and scored only 144/7 in batting first. LSG batting well chasing the small target losing four wickets in 122 runs. LSG needed 23 runs from 4 overs to win this game against MI. LSG required run rate is below then 6 and they will easily win this game because Pooran and Turner are playing well. Mi disappointed performance in batting and bowling so far in this game.

Now according to Mumbai Indian current performance I think they are almost out of the tournament and hasn't any big chance to settle down later because they has just six points which isn't enough for them to participate in race of Knock out stages. Anyway when Mumbai scored 140 around target it was confirmed early indicator of thier defeat because the way other team chased 240+ target so it will not be difficult for thier opponent to chased down and also they hasn't any impactful blower rather than bumrah through his magic delivery they will make it possible. To be honest that victory isn't much worthy for Mumbai Indian compared to Lucknow because through that important points they almost qualified for plays off

To me, the match between Chennai Super Kings and Punjab Kings was not exciting at all, it felt like a one sided match.When we see a team winning by 10 runs or 20 runs or less and sometimes winning by one wicket or two wickets we can call those matches as highly exciting matches. The trio of Rabada, Harpreet Brar and Rahul Chahar for the Punjab Kings in yesterday's match completely tied down the Chennai super kings batsmen. Chennai Super Kings could not score many runs mainly due to the outstanding bowling performance of these bowlers. Chennai Super Kings bowlers could not bowl tight like Punjab Kings bowlers but Mustafizur Rahman took the maiden over which was a comfortable over.
