What a start to the T20 World Cup 2024. USA vs Canada turned out to be a runfest though the Americans actually blew away the Canadians despite the target being pretty good thanks to poor bowling and fielding.

Some of the sixes were absolutely monstrous. If Canada held on to their catches properly, they would have stood a better chance at winning. Also, their extras screwed them too.

The World Cup has started and it started in a good way. There is always a joy when you see the host team winning their first match and this is exactly what happened today when the United States of America beat the Canada team by 7 wickets. Though it was an easy win for the United States of America but still i believe that it was a good game of cricket and we cannot call it a one sided match.

Canada batting first scored 194 runs and at the innings break i thought that Canada may win the match because it was already a very big score. But Andries Gous and Aaron Jones changed the game for their team. USA didn't start well as both the openers lost their wickets early but it was these two batsmen who took the game away from Canada.

Aaron Jones was the man of the match as he scored 94 runs. I think he deserved to make 100 runs but USA already chased the target so further play was not possible and he remained not out.
