Anyone watching PSL?
Unfortunately I was not able to see any of the matches. Is there anything interesting going on? I am keeping an eye on cricinfo though.

There is a thread related specifically to PSL. I havent found any streams myself and am just keeping track of the score on Cricinfo. 51 runs currently needed from 35 balls. Currently the odds are 1.5x on Sulatans who have 6 wickets to spare. Shoaib malik, AD Russell, Shahid Afridi, CJ Green wickets remaining. Although a slow start from Sultans. They should still win the match as Shadab Khan is bowling his last over.

How can a team which is chasing 146 runs in 20 overs and while they are 93/0 in 12.5 overs. While needing just 53 of 43 balls with 10 wickets in hand. Somehow manage to lose by 13 Runs!!! Absolute shambles by Melbourne Stars as they literally home delivered the Big Bash 2019 title to Melbourne Renegades. Sad that the Big Bash league ends for another 11 months.

Holy cow! This is called cricket. Anything is possible. Think about the last test match in between Sri Lanka vs South Africa. I do not think anyone thought that Sri Lanka was going to win the test. How it's possible to make a 78 runs partnership in the last wicket and snitch a win from inform SA? This is the beauty of cricket. You do not know until the last ball.

I just noticed it in espncricinfo. Ireland is betting after winning the toss and so far scored 22 runs without losing any wicket after 5.5 overs. In papers Afghanistan is favorite.

Holy God! What in the world. Zazai scored a blistering 162 off 62 balls to help amass such an insane total. Ireland fought back pretty nicely in order to get a bit close by scoring 194 at the end though. What a match!

Highest run chase in T20 history: Australia chased 243 scored by New Zealand by scoring 245/5 with a freaking over to spare.

This match is full of records. Highest total score previous was 263, Highest partnership, possibly highest sixes too in one match, not sure this one. Afghanistan is always better in t20 and once again they proved it.

Afghanistan team has some very good batsman and bowlers for T20. I have seen some of their T20 league matches and in this format they are doing very well.

Whoever wins, this will be an exciting match to see. Both teams are playing very good cricket and they both have outstanding history to destroy each others. My pick is Australia - I do not know why but it's just how I am feeling now.

They will change cricket schedules because of elections ? what is the correlation between a sporting event and general election, last time they said about security concerns and i hope the location of second edition of IPL was changed to South Africa because of election if i remember correctly, i am not a big fan of having IPL being conducted just before the world cup, the chances of players getting injured during these tournaments and the stress of playing tight competition in the shorter format will wear them out.

Yeah, it was held in South Africa but I'm not sure if the reason was election. But it's not going to happen anymore, imo. Some of the cricket boards may not also allow their players to participate in IPL because of the world cup and if it happens, IPL will not be a good one this time.

I am thinking the opposite. Being in the IPL will keep the players active. In IPL matches batsmen are more into hit and win mood. This will eventually lead this world cup to have some high scoring matches.

Because of IPL these days we see a lot of new faces in international cricket and they are doing very well. Playing matches with big players takes away the fear of big events.

True but the fact of worry here is all about having an injury. If a big player got injured badly during IPL, team have to suffer the most on world cup. Yeah, it keeps player active and energetic.

Good point. I hope the officials do their best. I am looking forward to see an eventful IPL. I am also ready to actively predict for the matches.
