Well.. no one can blame a particular team if they refuse to tour Pakistan. Terrorist attacks do happen in that country frequently. And Pakistan is not one of the top 3 countries in cricket for other nations to think about the revenue loss if they don't tour that country. Even many of the star Sri Lankan players had opted out of the tour due to security concerns.

Pakistan cricket board and the government is trying their best to restart their tarnished history of security but it is not going to be easy as the world saw what happened with the Srilankan team last time when they were ambushed by terrorist and if a sports team is not safe then how can you trust the general security in visiting in country and none of the top teams will visit them and even the ICC will not force any cricketing board to visit them.

This is yet another example to prove the argument that in international cricket, you can't take any opponent for granted, what many advantages you have. You can't even take teams such as Scotland and Netherlands for granted in T20 (as England found out multiple times), and I guess Sri Lanka is a step ahead of these teams.

This proves that when it comes to T20 matches you can underestimate any teams and it is very difficult to wage a bet on any team, i never expected a white wash in the T20 format considering the rankings and no one would believe if someone said that Srilanka will win a single match at the start of the series let alone a washout. I wonder what the odds would have being for Srilanka winning all the matches.

I hope that now the PCB can get more tours from the other nations.

That is really doubtful as majority of the teams will not be bold enough to tour Pakistan.

Your last starment is completely biased as now in recent few months Pakistan is much better and safe authorties are doing hard work for this all but still have very few problems and these are not internal probably these are external and have links in Afghanistan and India so we can hope that few teams will be in Pakistan in near future for more sports and cricket.

I am not sure whether Misbah alone was behind the decision to drop Fakhar Zaman for the first T20 match, but it was one of the horrible mistakes that they made. They replaced him with Ahmed Shehzad, and he had such a pathetic performance. They brought back Fakhar for the second T20, but his morale was down after being dropped earlier (and he performed exceptionally well during the ODI series). I guess had Fakhar opened the batting with Babar Azam for the first match, the outcome would have been different. The first match was very crucial and Sri Lanka gained the upper hand by winning it. Another poor decision was with the inclusion of Umar Akmal. I don't understand why he was called back all of a sudden.

Forget about the Misbah at the moment. Pakistani team has so many good players in the team yet they did not perform to their level.

I am not comfortable to visit any of the countries you specified even as a tourist because of the security concerns, not sure what they are fighting against killing and terrorizing people, what i saw in the media is that the terrorist even issued a warning that they will attack if any team visit Pakistan and i am not aware of the ground reality as all these news are through the media. I am not here insulting any nations but all i can say is the things that are reported in the media.

I am also checking all news papers and channels and understand your statement but every time these all rumours are never been true because they have their own stakes so these type threats coming every day in many countries and they deal with them as they have to I don't like to go so long so just no one can force any one to go and come but bad thing happen when we have no all truths about any thing.

Srilankan team has won our hearts and my respect as not only did they take the risk of going to play in Pakistan, but they also managed to defeat them despite not playing at full strength.

What sort of BS? Anyone who had watched the series on TV would never dare to type something like this. You are not only insulting the Pakistanis by calling them match fixers, but you are also insulting the Sri Lankans by casting doubt over their performance. Players such as Wanindu Hasaranga performed brilliantly in Pakistan and that's how they won. Now please don't tarnish the reputation of this thread by posting bull crap like this.

That said, Pakistan needs to introspect very deeply. It was really humiliating to get swept 0-3 by a weakened Sri Lankan squad, which lacked many of the star players. And the loss in the T20 series was least expected, because recently Pakistan had such a good record in that format. Some hard decisions needs to be made. Players like Umar Akmal needs to be permanently kicked out of the team.

You seem to never learn from your past mistakes. Why do you always mix politics and Cricket? This fixed matches bullshit is simply another excuse and you need to accept the fact that Sri Lanka were the better team through and through in the T-20 series.

This young Sri Lankan team has overcome many obstacles and deserve the praise they are getting at the moment(Hasaranga etc). Instead of coming up with excuses all the time, try and encourage your team to improve and move forward.

Just stop this. No one in their right mind would believe that the matches were fixed. If you think so, then I am 100% sure that you didn't watched the matches. In the past, a lot of players have got banned for match fixing. And among them were players such as Mohammed Azharuddin and Ajay Jadeja of India and Hansie Cronje of South Africa. I don't know how you can blame Pakistan as a team.

Match fixing is not worth the risk now. Nowadays the players are really well, and they won't be ready to risk their career for very small amounts. That was not the case earlier, and some of the players who had financial issues were unfortunate enough to fell in to the trap set by the fixers. I can confidently say that match fixing has become obsolete during the last 10-12 years.

Despite the loss, it seems that Pakistan still stays on top of the rankings in the T-20 format though they need to perform really well in the future if they wish to hold on to that spot with England hot on their heels.

Azam retains the top batsman(T-20) in the rankings. Also, Ireland might tour Pakistan in the near future which is great news for the Pakistan fans. Hopefully, Pakistan will be able to host more and more teams as time passes through security improvements etc.

Mohammed Azharuddin, Ajay Jadeja and Cronje match fixing scandal broke during 2000 and ten years after that there was a spot fixing scandal from Pakistan and many players were banned and then the IPL scandal in 2013, so when ever you see these performance people will naturally think about match fixing as people were cheated several times in the past.

I can confidently say that match fixing has become obsolete during the last 10-12 years.

If that is the case, Pakistan spot fixing scandal by Salman Butt, Mohammad Asif and Mohammad Amir in 2010 and in 2014 Lou Vincent accepted fixing matches and then the IPL scandal in 2014 and then Sharjeel Khan was banned in 2017 for his involvement  .
The risk are always high but still people engage in match fixing but i am not telling that the recent match was fixed but match fixing is part and parcel of cricket and other sporting events.
