No one says that he's not talented but he's inconsistent throughout his career and he played at random numbers because he was shitting at every position with his inconsistency.

From the very start I mentioned that I am not talking about his overall career from the start. He was inconsistent in the beginning and I am not denying that, what about the last two years and compare that average and performance to the rest of the active players in the Indian team. Since the inconsistency topic started, I checked the profile of every player and their averages for the past two years before debating that.

Check his numbers before wc and overall career data, it'll scream inconsistency. I asked you to check his Ireland and England performance because you implied that how could they drop him and give chance to 15 yo kid.

What about Abhishek Sharma, who has eight ducks this year along with seven single-digit scores or reached ten runs in his 27 innings, and a dismal World Cup performance? Does that sound like a more consistent performer than Sanju Samson to give him a break after just three failed innings.

You can verify this with Cricinfo. Take into consideration the opening slot, as we are talking about that specifically. Who has the highest average? As an opener, Sanju Samson has a better average. Once again, I am talking about the opening slot and not the career average as a floater.

Ngl i still don't understand, how come sanju is able to replace Jaiswal as first choice opener and it happened when the latter had superior number and possibly first claim at the opening slot because of his consistent performance. Only possible explanation would be management fantasy of having left- right combination ( Abhishek - sanju) instead of 2 lefties as opener.

As a personal preference, I would prefer Jaiswal and Sanju Samson to open the innings for India in T20s in crunch matches, while Abhishek Sharma and Sooryavanshi could play in rotation.

Since odi wc, poor guy warming up bench as an backup opener in literally every odi series ( unless tests are around the corner). Even in upcoming series against windies he's an backup opener, only to hear that he's not in ODI scheme of things.

There were players in the past like Jamie Cox, David Hussey, Brad Hodge, Clive Rice, or even Graham Hick who never got a fair opportunity to play international cricket at the peak of their career form; even those who got into the team eventually were never able to deliver because their prime peak was gone.

Warming the bench as a backup player does not mean anything unless Jaiswal gets the opportunity to play and live up to his promising career, and it looks like the management only wants him in the Test playing eleven for now and he should be given the opportunity to play.

What an unexpected game it was to see between Afghanistan and Nepal. If we compare both teams, then Afghanistan is much stronger than Nepal and there is almost no comparison between them, but Nepal proved all predictions wrong on the ground in Japan in the Men's Asian Games event and defeated a strong Afghanistan. The main reason for this mishap is that Japan's pitches are very supportive of bowlers, and especially it's a bed of roses for spinners, and in this game all credit for the wins goes to Nepal's spinners. Afghanistan opened the first innings and their batting lineup collapsed early on because the pitch is very spinner-friendly and here Lalit and Bhurtal got early wickets and Afghanistan set a very easy target with great difficulty and in this difficult situations, Ibrahim Zadran from Afghanistan played well.

So, Nepal easily chased this target because their home conditions are also supportive spinners, their batters have strong skills to play spinners and that's why they easily survive here, and especially, Sandeep Jaura, who was well played and Nepal are now the strong candidates for the playoff.

If we look at Afghanistan side then they were playing this game without their main players like Rashid Khan, Muhammad Nabi and Ibrahim Zadran. Nepal is not an ordinary side because they now also have experience of playing international cricket. Afghanistan team played 20 overs but were able to score just 102 runs. With this they are likely to become the group leader playing against the losing side between Sri Lanka and India.

Nepal achieved this because the performance of the Afghanistan team was quite poor, with only two of their players scoring 30 runs, which prevented their entire team from achieving any specific target. What they scored was 102 runs. When the opposing team, which was Nepal, started chasing the target given by them, they also faced a lot of difficulties because the bowling of the Afghan bowlers was quite tough, but still they handled this match very well. Your argument makes zero sense here. Almost everyone would unilaterally choose Abhishek over Samson any day in the T20 format primarily because of his insane strike rate and ducks plus single digit scores don't say the full story here.

Also, his keeping isn't really that great while Abhishek is a decent part time bowler. Better to compare Samson with Kishan or Jaiswal instead only in this particular format.

Both the teams did not perform so well in terms of overs but still one team has to win  in which the Nepal team has been successful. Nepal is confident team and they want to learn from big teams and that is possible if their players will be selected in big leagues like IPL , PSL and BBL where they will get a chance to play will big players and learn from big players who did extra ordinary in their past . This approach will give them success. Nepal have Aire have record of 6 sixes in the over and he is top class player but team wins by performance of all players and team work is required..1 to 2 players have good talent but other have not good talent and they have increase their ability by playing with big names.  Paudel is good player but he has regret to not finish in the World cup but he finished against Afghanistan which is good sign.

Well I think not just player but entire Afghan Cricket board benefited huged from BCCI favors, as like back in 2017 Indian board assist them to get the ICC full member status so that they start to get continuous flow of their ICC funding to them. However Nepal cricket board does things in their own style, like recently their premier league rights were sold for NPR 33.5 crore which is roughly like triple of last season, so such kind of huge pump is single year indicates truly commercial interest as well as their potential growth.

So ACB might face difficult times after both countries ties ever shift in future, while Nepal cricket may could be more healthy especially in long run as it doesn't depend on any political relations.

What a joke! Teams have reached the semi-finals without having played a single match yet. The primary objective of these Asian Games events to provide exposure to smaller teams was not achieved at all. The stadium needs to be upgraded for the match; if it rains for 20 to 25 minutes, for instance, the match starts at 5 PM and would be abandoned by 5:25 PM. There is now hope that the chances of rain during the final match between Pakistan and Bangladesh are very low. Another interesting thing I noted is that if it rains on the day of the final and the match is abandoned, both teams will share the gold medal.

There could be anything in the cricket because Bangladesh cricket team record is good when Pakistan team lose their respect on International level. Pakistan is average team because their players have no extraordinary skills And players need to improve their skills but they are not ready to do hard work.

IND can qualify for the final easily but that is not their home ground so they can lose if any difficult bowler did best bowling. Sri Lanka team have to perform well to defeat IND team as there is no experienced player in the Sri Lanka team and Nisanka has good technique and no other player is in the form. IND team will easily win this Asian games but luck always matters a lot.

PAK has a way to make a powerful game with IND in the final. PAK and BAN will be a game between these two teams tomorrow which will decide anyone for the final, it could be PAK or BAN. On the other hand, I am thinking of IND in the final because they are a light team like SL  in comparison, so it is super to include IND in the final. Now it is important to compare PAK  and BAN here. PAK will have to play wisely because the final can bring PAK and IND together again. The good thing is that the semi-finals matches haven't been washed out by the rain today. Pakistan has beaten Bangladesh and India has beaten Sri Lanka. I'm pretty sure that Pakistan is going to lose the final if it doesn't get interpreted by the rain. I couldn't find the event on any reliable sportsbook yet.
