ClaimBitcoinNetwork - The Faucet that BANS you when you CASHOUT

WARNING: Pardon the image-heaviness. I had to get this message across because there are many still unaware of their modus operandi.

Apologies if I posted in the incorrect section but there's no other appropriate subforum for warning users on some scammy Bitcoin faucet.

So some you might have come across these two Android Bitcoin faucets, The Bitcoin Wheel and Claim Free Bitcoin. Both look pretty neat and the developer (JPLabs/ ClaimBitcoinNetwork) even have a website.

At a glance, the ways to earn Bitcoins are interesting; you get 3 tries to snag up to 100+ Satoshi every 15 minutes. Plus, they recently implemented some Hi-Lo and hourly online faucet.

All seems good until you reach the minimum payout amount; 40K Sats for direct Bitcoin wallets. Payments are so-called processed every Friday and you'll be greeted with a sweet ban upon your first payment. What a way to end the weekdays!

So here's the whole conversation between me and the developer via email moments after the post-work surprise:

I replied that I was willing to send evidences to prove I don't have any installed. Suddenly, they diverted to an alternative resolution.

Unban in exchange of not being able to claim first payment, and another chance to get re-banned? No thank you.

Reviews don't lie, even on NetBusinessRating. The majority are posting similar responses too:

Therefore if you're still using or planning to download these things, flag them on the Play Store or uninstall them immediately! You're being used as a free labor, just like the rest of us. Really a shame such decent faucets are run by some crook.

I don't remember seeing scam accusation against faucet although I have seen many scam faucets during time I wasted in micro earnings.
You can report them to google and ask them to remove both faucets.

I noticed ad sense on both faucets. IIRC google banned faucets in late 2016. so this should be good indicator that something is wrong.

I know it's kinda rare but I'm actually surprised that Google did nothing to ban these kind of things. Have done my part in reporting and after posting the review, the developer just responded with the usual "You broke our rules, too bad" template.

I'm surprised that they are this cheap - the time that they took to actually respond to your emails in such depth is probably worth much more than the 40k satoshis that you are requesting here.

I don't think that it's a good idea at all to faucet due to the lack of rewards for your time, but if you do, Google Play is a terrible way to start. The faucet ads on there usually target newbies, and since they hold all of your funds, it is entirely up to them to pay you out and there is no third party to keep them honest.

If you do want to continue to use these faucets, make sure that you are doing so through a legitimate third party micropayment processor. The one that I heard about a while back was faucethub, though I'm not entirely sure whether they are still up and running. By using official faucet lists from these sites you significantly reduce the risk of getting scammed (still not 100% foolproof, though).

I'm aware that faucets are pretty much a waste of time, but being employed means I'm pretty much restricted to faucets since I'm often using my cellphone and therefore, other options such as bounty and GPT are not viable. In addition, I'm looking forward to joining a signature campaign but slots are very limited and don't favor Members much.

Regarding your statement on the Play faucets, doesn't the same thing apply to web ones too? The owner(s) could still choose to pay or not, and unlike websites, at least the apps could be removed by Google.

There is always a risk that a faucet is scam, whether or not it is app based or web based.

What I'm saying is that based on my experience, most of the faucets that have an application that is listed on the play marketplace aren't linked with any major micropayment processor, like Faucethub, which means that there is more of a risk for you to use them. Untrusted independent third party platforms that have no reputation don't count either, as demonstrated by Claimbitcoinnetwork scamming you here. If you use the ones that are listed on say, Faucethub, it's much safer even though there is still a risk.

Hopefully at this stage Google will take action and remove their products from the play store, since there is definitely enough complaints with proof to back this up.  However since the amounts involved are extremely low I'm not exactly sure if Google will respond at all.

I finally understand what you mean now. That's true, as it only uses direct wallet, XAPO and COINS.PH as far as I remembered. Definitely learned my lesson there.

Because I know for a fact that sometimes I forget to turn off my VPN when I am entering into some VPN strict websites. If not maybe its your firewall/ anti-virus acting up as they do block some "not safe" ads from websites like this. But if you don't have that problems in other websites then I think they are really a scam and their trying to ban users so that they won't pay your faucet claims.

Yes it seems like it, they even allowed you to re-open your account and claim again which is odd as they have given you a "permanent ban" that if you receive a perma ban from other websites they won't give you any second chance. It looks this is also their way to convince their active claimers to be fooled once again so that they could also earn from your ad views. It's best to stay away from this site from now on as it would most likely just waste your time.

Exactly, they are so obviously trying to their fullest extent to not pay you. They initially said that you needed to provide proof, which is because of they probably thought that you wouldn't be bothered to provide that proof. And when you demonstrated that you would be willing to do that, they backed out, and said that we'll give you a second chance instead, essentially avoiding paying you altogether.

I guess in this instance, trust the reviews. When I was fauceting I only went with faucets that paid out instantly after you claimed it, like faucethub. I found that a lot of these faucets that had their own account balance system and a minimum withdrawal was quite sketchy.

So far there's been no response from Google and I noticed a huge influx of paid reviews recently. Seems like the dev is trying to cover up all the negatives.

I honestly doubt that google would be able to handle your case. The fake reviews are indeed annoying, though, considering that they flood the reviews section which makes it hard for others to see the real reviews.

IIRC, its against the rules to solicit paid reviews according to this article.

And its still up and running, an annoyance that such a mega corp still avoid any reporting form. Don't even know those report flags are placebos or not.

Firstly, I'll answer UserU directly - and explain a bit about our ad blocking detection systems our security partners use.

UserU - all 3 of our separate security partners detected you were using an adblocker - which is against our terms of service, which you accepted when you first signed up to the application. During our email exchanges (of which we are saddened to see you didn't include the full chain, just some emails picked out by you), we told you the reasons why some users might not realise they are blocking adverts when they are. If you would like to ask for a copy of the report we get from our security partners - which does include sensitive information (IP address, device ID's etc) please feel free to contact us. We are transparent why we do things.

We utilise 3 different application security partners and when we process a claim, we get a report from each of them stating if they have broken any of our 3 pillars of our terms and conditions. These are - Ad blocking, Captcha success and the use of multiple accounts on a device. We know no system is perfect - and we do get false positives we are sure of it - that is why ask for dialog between users we suspend and us. We employ several support staff to handle this. If we were scammers, surely we would just ban everyone and not reply?!

We find users who get banned for breaking terms and conditions are very keen to post reviews - which is why we get an influx on a Friday when we process payments, but users who actually get paid are not so keen, so need a little prodding!

I feel sorry for OP I have never recommended faucets to earn Bitcoin because it will take so long to cash out I experience doing this for two months and stopped because it's hard to reach payout, they should stop OP in his first three claims if they detected something wrong, instead they allow him to cash out.

That's the same cookie-cutter response you've been dishing out. Over 90% incorrect submissions, you've used ad-blockers, you're accessing it from China or VPN, yada yada yada. Anything else you're hiding up your sleeves?

I'm well-aware of the reviews before I joined after seeing people complaining about the ban, yet I gave you the benefit of the doubt and installed the apps. Mind you, I'm using a stock non-rooted OnePlus 3 and I don't give two shits about installing ad-blocker, entering incorrect values or accessing from China (as per claim from your email) since I'm satisfied with the OS itself.

The CAPTCHAs served were clear as day and all entries were accepted with the "Good CAPTCHA!".

Funnily of all faucets I've registered on, I've only been banned from your faucet, and that's right after I submitted the first claim a few days ago before that Friday. 40,000 Satoshi min withdraw, that's a high minimum withdrawal and it should be obvious if we were cheating way before the cashout, you should have banned us yet you didn't because you just wanted us to waste our time for the nasty surprise. In the email, I've asked for proofs if I cheated, yet you suddenly diverted.

And if the negative reviews keep mounting up, with the exact same scenario that bans were issued during withdrawals, it's definitely your problem, not ours.

Also, you said I've been hiding the full chain? Here it is in full, let the community judge by themselves, shall we?

Because you're just looking to fool them twice. You were lucky because my first cashout was made to an incorrect address, or else I'd have found out sooner.

Yes, we respond with the same "Cookie Cutter" response, because that are our rules. If you break our rules you will get some sort of the same response as we only have 3 rules! I can see you only had an issue with the ad-blocking stuff, not the captchas, so I am unsure why you are bringing that up? But I am glad you did see so many good captchas!

Of course the same type of reviews are going to come up if we only ban users for breaking our rules - as we have such a small amount of rules! Your going to see people complaining about Captchas, Ad blocking or multiple accounts - as that is the only way you can get banned! Its the same argument as your "Cookie Cutter" one!

Not once in this thread - or ever - have we tried to suppress anything. We are trying to have a dialog with you and everyone who comments where we are open and tell you how we operate. I'm sorry that you don't agree - but as we did respond in our emails - we have a report from 3 separate security partners that you broke our terms! And as we have also mentioned - if you contact us with any sort of proof we would be very happy to run those checks again. I don't see how we can be fairer than that!
