Respectfully asking... do you know what inflation means? Since GRIN has a steady emission, it CAN NOT have a steady inflation percentage for 10 or 25 years.
After 1 year GRIN will be increasing its supply by 0.0792% monthly, or roughly by 0.9% between year 1 and year 2. That's a long cry from the "10% for the next 10 years".

The chart presents the fact that we have reached safe enter point with Grin coin.
Not sure that Grincoin will bounce back soon or not, but current price of the coin is safe to invest, in medium-term aspect.

Not sure if theymos' right but I agree with you that this is not an ideal entry. The chart shows a clear down trend. Though there's a green candle but it couldn't break the trendline. It's risky (50/50) to buy at this point.

About falling to $0.50? If it fell to that range, I'd buy no matter the chart.

Of course I respect anybody's opinion.

Maybe I should have unloaded my stack - but I explained why I didn't.
In either case, I still don't ever see Grin reaching sub dollar prices for only one reason.
Miners.
Naturally should they flee, difficulty will drop and rewards will go up - but still never under one dollar.
I imagine that only FOMO will be enough around those prices to ensure my theory.

Finally it would be better to estimate it's price compared to BTC instead of the $.
~0.0005 BTC per Grin, is the absolute bottom imho - another ~40% down from where it currently is.

a currency with unlimited supply can only fall in time, the $ 5 will be sadly recounted in a few months. In fact it is not profitable to mine it since days ago.

But fondly remembered in a few years, not everything is a get switch quick scheme.

More than 10% inflation for the next 10 years, more than 5% inflation for the next 25 years. This was made for the purpose of stability and to bring down volatility. Considering that grin might never have bitcoin's level of adoption in the next 10 years, grin's move will be predominantly on a low volatility line going down.

I reckon grin's development team were very serious when they said that this will not be a get rich quick coin.

It was delisted from BisQ. Reason was that there was to many disputes and you could not prove your transactions so people started abusing that.  I guess that is what Grin will have to figure out in future to get listed on decentralized exchanges.

@Febo. Bisq never had relevant volume for helping with any coin's mass adoption, however. But depsite that, Grin's way of transacting between users might also make it a challenge to create a centralized person to person trading platforms similar to localbitcoins.com which was a big contribution to bitcoin's adoption.

It might also make it hard to prove disputes in over the counter trades if someone did it in currecny exchange subforum.

Hello, I did my analysis, something different, but I hope it contributes, first my analysis style is based on doing it in GRIN / USD, in this case GRIN / TETHER, which, as I could see, is a young coin, and there is still a lot to define, but I can rescue in the last movement that the price goes down with very little volume, which tells me that there are fewer purchases or less demand, I get that information by the volume of operations ... I made a small range in 4Hrs, and 3 and 3.2, where I saw this behavior:



Then I go to GRIN / BTC in Bittrex and I observe that the range in 0.008 occurs that lowers the price with little volume, but that in the range of 0.0012 there is a ceiling or an important opportunity area, in that range if there is no longer offer , there is a possibility that it starts to rise (this is as long as Bitcoin is lateralized or begins to rise), but if Bitcoin falls, this analysis is obviously invalidated. I base my analysis because I like to see how liquidity is with Fiat money, good in this case Tether, and take the analysis from there because the BTC story can change.



The analysis I always do to days, months, to see what behavior they have, but on the basis that it is a young coin, I make this fractal at 4 Hrs. To get more detailed information, since at Days, we see a little more lateralized behavior.
Hopefully Bitcoin is lateralized or climb a little more to see Grin a little higher.

I do not understand the price, mining GRIN is so profitable comparing with other altcoins, so why people are buying GRIN from miners for such high price? Even they do not about the high inflation rate?
