Price always depend on adoption. Adoption is part of a demand and demand pushes price up. Supply are the coins that people want to sell and is pushing price down.  Newly mined coins or emission adds to the supply since a lot miners have to sell to pay their electricity.  Influence of emission of a supply reduce over time.

However, Grin will need adoption more than most of the coins in the cryptospace that depend on deflation, moon math and pumps, I reckon hehehe.

You cant start with reasonable emission rate. You start with 0 coins. then you add first day some coins and that day inflation is infinite. Second day you add same much emission ass first day and that day daily inflation is 100%. Third day you add dame and daily inflation is 50%, ....   You cant do it lower. It was same with Bitcoin. First days emission inflation was huge.

The issue most people have though is that GRIN won't have any halvings, it'll keep going with the same rate.

Some people find the halving as an insurance for the future, personally I see it as a pyramid where the few who found out a project early become millionaires if many poor souls join the party later.

@RivAngE. Agreed. Bitcoin's emmission rate and its deflationary distribution through the halvings might be a flaw and what is slowing down adoption.

I reckon that the Grin founders saw this and decided for a distribition first, moon math last emission schedule.

More like a pyramid of death, since sooner or latter emission runs out to secure the network.

But a lot of people I see complain of situation right now. They dont even care what will be half year in future. Forget the 10 or 30 years ahead when Grin and Bitcoin will have some serious difference in emission.

Big battle on high volume at the moment.  Grin has unexpectedly bounced back from the 18s back into the 19s. 

Showing unexpected resilience.  A sign of things to come ?  I remain bearish but watching with interest.

interesting, a volume surge there for sure if its not faked? do sellers impact anything with the high emission I suppose the volume is only buyers? Who didn't sell a week ago isn't selling now anyway right?

I would say GRIN. Beam is a bit centralized. Miners are paying taxes to the devs and I can't see this as a good thing. I don't know if there are any other differences though this "dev tax" thing alone makes BEAM a "no no".

Full disclaimer: I'm still sitting on 115 GRINs that I mined early on ... but my excuse is that they cost me less than $1 each on average. One of these days I'll use them for something if I can remember where the wallet file is.

I definitely see GRIN on Binance in the future. For speculative purposes, it is a good idea to hodl some. In the mid term* however, I am not sure.

Yes, mid-term in this market is really a challenging time. But I believe in Private coin like Grin and its Mimblewimble protocol. The future of cryptocurrency should be like that. BEAM was invested by VCs, so seem like it moved faster than Grin this time, but Grin will catch soon.
