Where is this thead's bump button. Thread is back on the 6th page hehehe.

I speculate that Grin $0.50 might happen by next month. It might also be dumped below it and might stay there for a long time until demand increases.

I was thinking.

Jan 2022, when there is expected next Bitcoin ATH (take few month off or add), Grin will have around 80 millions coins. If each is worth $1, that is only $80 million. That is not that high marketcap. And as past teach us in case of hype things can get mad.  So no matter how high emission inflation is right now, if you buy now there is quite a chance you can sell it with profit in next 2 years time.

So you have caught up with what those of us that did that figuring before launch said back then? Tongue

@Febo. Half of that if on $0.50 hehe. Also, I speculate that Grin's pump on the next bitcoin all time highs might not be as strong as some of the coins, for example Aeon.

Grin might be a slow and stable accumulation of value, I reckon.

Well holding always pays off at the end. But thing is that no mater how bad emission looks now there is actually high chance to profit in short 2 years.  I personally dont buy to sell. I buy to spend.  And I dont plan to spend much in next 10 years. So this two years dont matter that much to me personally. But It was just something that crossed my mind yesterday.

"Always" except the last year?
I have a portfolio with only altcoins which has lost 60% value in comparison to Bitcoin... meaning that if I was holding 1 BTC of value in altcoins in January, my altcoins are now worth 0.40 BTC.
You just need to know when to hold and when to trade, maybe buying again lower; it's better to live and fight another day!

But.... I'm a bit too lazy to do that so I'm just holding as well! Roll Eyes

@e-coinomist. Why monotheist? The bitcoin maximalists' religion?

I have been holding a more than 80% loss on Aeon also. It does not make me stressed anymore after pulling most of my hairs last year.

I really thought that 0.0002 would hold. Now at ~ 0.0001, well, shiiit.
Been underwater all the way.

Maybe I didn't get - after all - Grin's monetary policy. Lips sealed
I surely didn't listen to the charts.

Hasn't been made for "Hodlers", more about owners of classical GPU mining rigs.

AEON got mentioned, which is somewhat related to Monero. Same target audience.

These kinds of projects are no "Investments" more about ... privacy. Has been sad to see Monero getting exposed to ASIC manufactorers who produced in secrecy. Maybe GRIN could be the next XMR?

Thats OK, we all live and learn and what doesn't kill us only makes us stronger (or crippled!) but there will be time for you to cost average back into a healthy profit once the emission slows and the scene recovers (which is happening right now IMO). And finally when the infrastructure for grin has been built and the coin is in actual usage there should be a very nice spike with a floor akin to what other top of the line coins enjoy.

With ETH getting closer and closer to PoS, just wait till that happens to see what GRIN price does  Shocked
2 million+ GPUs are going to be looking for something new to mine...
GRIN may have separate algos for GPUs and ASICs, but they share one market price

Ever hear of a difficulty retargeting algorithm? Ethereum has been moving to {P}iece {O}f {s}hit for years and has failed at every corner so no need to fud here. Everyone knows what this coin is worth and where its heading.

ASICs are planned here unlike Monero

Yes, having an asic plan from the beginning and choosing the easiest solution for those asic makers to manufacture is a great way to plan ahead as miners will not get blind sided and you shouldn't have to worry about adversarial attacks with magnitude of order strength.
