No, with internal dhcp / dns / ntp you can have 10000+ miners and use less than 5 Mbps in total.

Do you have any network monitoring tools to analyze this traffic? You might be able to figure out why inbound traffic is so much larger than outbound.

Ignore scammers on Skype, Telegram, etc. I will only ever contact you via forum PMs. See profile for fingerprint.

that's alot, something is wrong, as tim-bc suggested, use something like wireshark to see what's going on with that inbound traffic, can you share your miner network configuration?

Last time i checked, an S9 uses like 1~2KB/sec, thats 0.8~1.6 mbps, not 100mpbs... There is something seriously wrong, its probably compromised. Miners (ppl) have the bad having of not setting a proper root password. Perhaps someone seized it and is performing attacks or spamming from it...

It needs to be isolated, perhaps perform a firmware reset, set a proper root (using ssh) password and try again.
You need to set TWO different passwords, the one in the web ui is NOT the same as the one in ssh. SET BOTH.

Sometimes an ip conflict could cause this, check your network.

It is not only on 1 I have many antminers and several after several days start to use 100 Mbps. On all antminers I am using static IP. Never had similar problem with Z9!!!

Well in that case you might have all of them compromised. So reset them all and change BOTH passwords (Web UI AND SSH) before connecting to the internet. You can do that on each miner by connecting a computer directly to them. This computer better be clean, such as running from a live linux iso on dvd or such.

Your whole operation should be audited, anything in that lan might be compromised: Router, switches (if "smart") any PCs and the miners of course.

No if you are accessing the web dashboard the default username and password is root and root.

For SSH you can the default username and password is root and admin. user: root and the password: admin

I just checked and SSH has the same password as the web.

As long as neither is admin or root... and try to use different passwords on each miner, test them BOTH (WebUI and SSH). I clearly remember having changed a web password in an S9 that did NOT change the SSH password. This might have been fixed at a later firmware version, or it might depend on model.

Make sure you stick to Linux in your mining operation, all you need is a browser and a console anyway, and the password manager of course.
Leave windows for games at home, only use Linux for serious things. Also always keep around a live iso, optical disc or usb thumb.

Don't say "i don't know Linux", just USE it. Download it (its free) and start using it right away, if you can use a computer, you can use Linux. Anything you don't understand, search online or ask in forums, chats, etc.
