Why did you add me to your DT0 with ~

Question to Lauda, TMAN and marlboroza.

Hi, everybody. I know that any user can include anyone in their trust list, as well as exclude "~" from it. But I believe that if a user is wondering why he was included in the trust list, a reasonable answer should be given.

I am included in the trust list with "~" from the following users:

- Lauda
- TMAN
- marlboroza



I was included in their lists after discussing the trust system in the Russian locale: [Чeллeндж] Hacтpoй и пoкaжи cвoй Trust-лиcт.

In this topic Massive abuse in the Russian section, theymos clearly explained to TMAN that he was wrong.

I have never been against these users, I didn't call anyone to act against them and have not added them to my trust list with "~".

As an adult (I'm over 30) and the father of two children, I do not understand.

Simple, it means they don't trust your judgement. That's why they excluded you from their custom trust list.  Could be you made a statement they're not in support of. e g you might be in support of leaving negative feedback for merit beggers and they're not.  So they exclude you so they don't see your feedbacks (this is just an example).

They not include/add you, they have excluded you. Because they don't trust your feedback's that you have left. You can't force anyone why they have exclude or include you. You can also exclude (~) them if you don't trust their feedback's. So their feedback's will not visible to you.

I wrote it because you don't know me. That's what I care about first. I don't want to be on the DT list and have "spray paint." I don't need that. I need truth and honesty. Why can't you give a specific answer, like LoyceV did.

It is their personal lists and they are free to add whoever they want to it.
Being added to someone's list with a ~ doesn't mean you are an untrustworthy member but simply they don't trust feedbacks you leave to other members.

Personally, I think the trust lists of members shoud not be public to avoid sensitivity between members.
Someone else will start a topic asking: "xyz, I thought we were friends, why didn't you include me in your trust list?".

I think the question here is less of being "friendly" but more one of what is more important. Your logic for doing so, so people can learn and judge for themselves if it was a correct choice, or your personal enjoyment over gloating about wielding your power over people who have no recourse in the matter whatsoever? Why are you above reproach? Just because you are free to do something doesn't mean you should. So why should you?

I think that the older users have to set an example. To point out the mistakes of inexperienced users. How can I change for the better if no one points out my mistakes and can't explain why it makes any decision.

One of the dangers in starting threads like this is that other members may be tempted to follows  suit. I don't have many entries in my trust lists - mainly because I am one of the members who believe that trust is to do with trading. I accept the current changes that make it more of a reputation ranking however. My first reaction was to add you as an excluded member in my list, but I prefer to make my own decisions, and form my own opinions, in reality.

Perhaps a couple of PMs would be a safer option, and avoid public discussion. I created my helpdesk so that my decisions could be discussed in private if a member preferred this.

Have you been added to DT2 by anyone? Other than this, there is no reason to exclude you.
Anyway, it's my personal view whom I should include and whom I should exclude? I am not obliged to explain you why I have excluded you. LoyceV personally thinks that he should explain why he has excluded some people. It's also his personal view.
By the way, if TMAN/LAUDA/marlboroza included you in their trust list, you would never create a thread asking why have you included me, would you? So, why this thread man?

I don't know if you've made any mistakes, per se, but it used to be that being on DT2 meant something.  Usually that something was that the DT2 member had a history of leaving accurate feedbacks and consistently tried to help the community.  I obviously can't speak for the members who excluded you, but you've received zero feedbacks from anyone, and the ones you've sent were all positive ones to well-established members and were fluff IMO.  The way I see it, there's no reason why you should be granted the power and corresponding responsibility of being on DT2 since you haven't proven yourself worthy of it nor capable of handling it.

As an aside, your posts (at least the ones in English that I can see) are generic and poorly-written and don't seem to be all that helpful. 

There are a lot of new DT2 members I've never even heard of, and though I haven't looked closely at their trust pages or posts, I do wonder how many of them are going to work out.  Truth be told, I'm wondering how this entire new system of trust is going to work out, but only time will tell.

Russians are very strong holding together pushing their own favorites which creates fear.
Of course Lauda won't give you any serious answer since its about something he can't admit in public.

Of course Lauda claims to turn the forum into a better place but when being asked what somebody did wrong to get excluded Lauda keeps silent.
I guess thats the best way to change the forum or to at least try to hold status quo.

Reason is very simple here.
Current system can be very easily gamed and you can be very easily in DT2 list (if not in DT1) by just included by one DT1 if no one is excluding you.
So three exclusion , simply means you need 3 inclusion by other DT (a democratic voting.)

Prove yourself a DT material , might be more people will add you or the user above will change the decision.

I do not see any reason for you to open a thread here why somebody included/excluded me/or I am in nobody list. Everybody have their personal preference to include or exclude.

PS: Just curios to know what was your prior contribution to this system before this new system is announced.

Thanks. I take your advice. I created this topic in meta because I think in private messages I would have been ignored. I am not afraid of public opinion, as I am always open to communication and I have nothing to hide.
