The China Center for Information and Industry Development might be another corrupt cryptocoin ranking organization under the influence of Fenbushi Capital where Vitalik is a partner and founded by the Chinese billionaire, Bo Shen, who has a big investment in EOS.

The organization has ranked EOS and Ethereum the no.1 and no.2 blockchains in the cryptospace with bitcoin only on no.15. I shake my head, unless this is the beginning hehehe.



According to a press release on Jan. 24th, China announced another iteration of its government-sponsored ranking system for the top cryptocurrencies and their blockchains, once again placing EOS at the head of the pack.

Despite holding the fifth position by market capitalization, with a valuation of $2.2 billion, EOS has managed to hold the top spot in blockchain appraisal by China’s Center for Information and Industry Development (CCID).

EOS was ranked #1 in the last iteration of the blockchain evaluation released in December 2018, a position the coin has held since June 2018. Bitcoin, with a market capitalization over twenty-eight times that of EOS, was ranked fifteenth in blockchain appraisal, up three spots from December’s rankings. Ethereum, which ranks third in market capitalization just behind XRP, held the distinction of the second highest rated blockchain by the government organization, with XRP being placed all the way in the 20th spot. ETH’s position remains unchanged from December.

It is hard to put too much faith in this ranking order and what effect those will have on the market. Coinmarketcap market ranking is the real ranking by market value.

Of course, we already know these two coins are actively developing which it is a very good sign for the people who are holding but it doesn't mean they will pump these two coins. Why don't you consider them in a different way, because once the market starts recovering all the coins prices will start increasing in the market.

To be honest, this site is also in doubt, especially in terms of the volume of trades. said that they cheat too much. But coins and so on top and I think they do not need additional promotion.

I think the ranking given by this Chinese organization will not affect anything, indeed China has a large community and whenever they can pump eos and eth. So this ranking does not represent the entire crypto community.

On each and everything Chinese has got a difference of opinion. Same as that now we see the eos and Eth being the most prominent of the crypto in China. From my view China being a big market for Cryptocurrency such a news has got some potential to make an impact on the global market of the assets. But, what we see isn't an official website or information.

Cheating happens anywhere money is involved, coin rankings are (like the Weiss rating) have a huge impact on a coins price, so of course they are bought.

I doubt about the news and the survey that written, I had heard that EOS want to be pump and want to try to take over eth place, but I never believe in such news, and when China being involved then my suspicious arise, the government won't allowed any pumping, I think this is just a rumour to increase the EOS value

   I doubt in many things I read related with crypto-currencies. I don`t believe in something before I check something deeply and find similar
conclusions by the community.
   Since I came on this forum I have seen so many theories about China, their laws about exchanges and certain crypto-currencies. So many
news from there, but just some were true. Now they talk about EOS and Ethereum, I have both so I`m glad they talk about them over there
that`s all!

I think that you should not trust this rating for choosing a coin to invest. EOS constantly censors this rating, but its price continues to fall and is unlikely to rise any time soon if there is no full-fledged state support for China.

Hard to say what this ranking really means.
It can be meaningless or show the future in crypto.
I think in a few months we will know more.

Will the news have a significant effect on changes in EOS prices? EOS once called will shift the position of ethereum because it will be pumped in large quantities, but is that proven? I see that never happened. this is just a way of imaging EOS.

That would be great and some of us that has been holding those coins are going to make money then.  I see this as a great news if it is truth because the Chinese traders are one of the largest in the market and any things that will bring them back into the market is a welcome development. I think if China invest in ethereum and EOS heavily it is going to impact the market positive and this in turn will change ethereum market directions.

They have ranking methodology if you observe their ranking table.
1) basic technology :- The basic technology category “mainly evaluates the technical realization level of the public chain, and examines the function, performance, safety and decentralization of the public chain,” the center described. This category accounts for 65 percent of the overall ranking.
2) Applicability :- China Updates Crypto Rankings, Downgrades BitcoinThe applicability category “mainly evaluates the comprehensive level of public chain support for practical applications, involving node deployment, wallet application, development support and application implementation,” the CCID explained. This category accounts for 20 percent of the overall ranking.
3) Creativity :- Creativity only carries a weight of 15 percent in the overall ranking. This category “focuses on the continuous innovation of the public chain, including developer size, code update and code impact,” the center detailed.

Ethereum delayed their Constantinople hardfork to upgrade from ETH1.0 to ETH 2.0 who knows if the hardfork took place on the scheduled time the rank could have been different? This ranking are since May 2018 and IMO speculating price on the ranking are not enough, we will have to consider another factors too.

EOS... maybe could get a pump, because it's getting more real dAPPs everyday. But Ether is struggling a lot lately and usually the prices around Chinese NY are going down, not up.

I echo the same sentiments, EOS might be pump but just pure speculation.

Last year the same story. Lots of speculators saying that bitcoin will be pump prior or after the Chinese Lunar Year, but nothing has change, bitcoin just have a small pump and then plummeted. Hard to buy this kind of news lately. So I will remain cautious.
