Personally, I would have preferred the easy contests like the slot multipliers; it's fun, and the chances of you winning it are entirely dependent on how lucky you are with your bets.

Unfortunately, I have to agree with you here. I have often participated in wagering contests in the past, but I wouldn't do that anymore, especially if the leaderboard is secret

For a competition here in a forum community, a contest based purely on luck is certainly more suitable. Whether it's a “highest multiplier” contest or, for example, guessing the number of yellow cards in a Bundesliga soccer match, it doesn't really matter, because you can't influence the result either way.

I guess the main reason why people prefer not to participate is not about the no visible leaderboard, but it is a fact that most people in this forum do not really like wagering contest. There were some wagering contests in this forum from few casinos and as I can see is that the number of participant is always low. Of course that is true and due to the requirements most people do not like participating, that one that catches more attention is that of bitcon price contest it attracts more predictors to come predicts the price as it has no requirements. Slot contest is actually cool as well when the requirements is not that too tough for the Gamblers hence when requirements are too strict the turnover would be extremely lower.

$10k for wagering contest in this forum only? I believe it will not be done by any casino because it will not worth for the casino. There was one 2 years ago, a 10k wager contest by a casino but if you see the total wager by all winners, it is something that can be said as not worth to the casino. Casino is not charity so what they are going to spend should also have a good chance for them to make profit. Better for a casino to spend such an amount to have a contest running on the site than in this forum.

Earnbet in the past used to hold weekly wagering competitions in which you could win nice amounts of their $EBET tokens, which you could put at stake to increase your rakeback percentage ( actually if my memory serves me well $EBET tokens won in leaderboard were automatically staked for 365 days) , furthermore there were several places paid in those leaderboards  and they were update almost in real time : that system was a great incentive, in my opinion, to keep wagering and compete with other players.

They now changed things into a yearly leaderboard : I find the current King of Castle, even if with a huge $200K paid in prize, discouraging either because usually a gambler don't have a plan on where he will play for the whole year to come and also because the wagered amounts of the three top positions ( the only paid ones) are unapproachable for most people ( $215M,  $123M and $ 77M) when there are still 240 days to the deadline.

My humble suggestion for Earnbet management is to reintroduce, beside the King of the Castle one, weekly or daily or even monthly leaderboard ( or a combination of them) with way smaller prizes so that the recreational players can still have something to stick to and to compete each other.

To me your suggestion is actually nice it would always keep the system running without having to target that special prices mentioned and anyone with small amounts could wagered as well instead of having to be that already amount that is mentioned.
Although only the Earnbet has the final say, but I just hope they put this into consideration.

Yeah, the number of participants is always low in Bitcointalk exclusive wagering contest. But the numbers aren't too big in the slots multiplier contest as well. Still, we had seen a good number of participants in the wagering contest of Yeet casino, and the wagered amount of the users was decent too.

User doesn't show their interest to participate in a wagering contest without the live leaderboard updating system. $10k prize pool wouldn't have a significant impact there. There is no way to check the total wagered amount at EarnBet. The whole system of EarnBet is backdated. They need to improve a lot to survive in the competition of the gambling world.

I wanted to join the tournament, but I have lost my interest after playing a little. I had lost more than 80% of my deposited funds with a small wager. Luckily I managed to recover the balance with the remaining funds and made a profit of $70. I had made a withdrawal there instead of wagering more as I'm completely clueless about my wagered amount. Maybe I haven't even wagered $3k there. Wagering contest is less attractive without the live leaderboard.

My situations was like you. I thought the date is 26 January , which was a wrong assumption from me. Then tried to play it in last day. I was in blink of death , losing my all fund . From 20% of my remaining fund I recovered my Initial and wagered more by hitting a good multiplier along with the initial I was in profit zone and withdraw my fund. Maybe I would be a bit less than the requirements posted there.

My last recovery shot was after spinning the slot 300 times I hit scatter. Thank god It recovered everything at the end.
