i don't know it because i do not attend in the crypto since 2008 year.im in here 2013 year and getting start crypto 2013 year.and since then I started researching it.but yes at the very beginning,i suffered a lot first time.but with the 2017 i could fill it.from now on i understand which is time would be better for me.

Looking at back at those stock charts, the 2008 crash was nothing compared to the corrections we have seen in crypto.  80% down is just another day in bitcoin world, imagine if that happened in the stock market.  There would be panic everywhere and people jumping out of their buildings.

well fortunately in 2008 I did not know of a cryptocurrency exchange so I did not experience such an event, but I can only see the condition of the price chart that occurred.

So you must learn at a lesson from your mistake that once you invest in bitcoin you will have to wait for the price to be normal once again because it grows your money within month, I got to know about bitcoin in 2017 when price was already at peak but till now I did not invest as I am using it as a job still I am collecting money to invest as price now a day is really affording.

To flash back it today, I'm still unable to understand all their worries, it may be the reason of age-gap, the one age group that felt stronger came from the older generation.

The nature also got worried in 2008. I think we were facing strong financial crisis then because the world financial crisis started about a year ago then.  I could still remember in my country the federal government has to intervene into some bank before there could paid Depositors funds. The worries also metamorphor into different sickness that also takes funds from people and that inturn results in poverty and hunger.

Same as you I was not sure of bitcoin properly in 2018 but in 2017 it was so good after that it roused too high at the middle but after watching too high price in 2017 I become a little worry about price in 2018 for falling too low, but no worries there is nothing to have any stress, I am now happy that my patience ha given me best reward that I am having profit.

From that time until now I still dont use banks. It is just my  payroll which goes to the banks and I withdrew them all quickly once payroll is done.

Up until now I dont trust the banks, they use our money just so they could profit more.

One more that I worry is how transaction fees are getting larger. The higher the amount you send the higher you will pay. Yeah Western Union is one good example of it.

I started learning crypto currencies and all those worries faded away. I send money like once a month and I can say I saved a lot by now with all of those years that I did it.

2008 was foreseeable, it wasnt just a new thing because we had already some kind of market shock in 2001 with the dotcom bust which if you look at Nasdaq was truely epic.

The evident thing in 2008 was just how closely tied into the government was this failure or at least thats the point I finally noticed it was as a result of policy given out to favour housing stock, that had gone badly wrong.   I think Satoshi understood it was going to need fixing.
If you look into the writings or talks from Jim Rickards he was already aware of this centralised trend to failure in the economy.   The reason being he was involved in the 1998 bailout for LTCM which again had some government relation though it was a private hedgefund it also illustrated at the time how fragile the whole system had become.    I dont think Satoshi and Jim Rickards have any direct link but they'd likely understand each other on why existing outside the US dollar in future could easily be a positive, they both have very different possible solutions to that problem though

This year? 2008/2009, I don't worry much about the future, I am just a teenager on that year but already working to help my parents to our daily needs. I don't know about bitcoin in that year, and I am just thinking about how to just be good at my Job. Hahah

2008 was a year known for recession and due to that many corporate got bankrupted and many employees lost their job and almost world economy got struck at those times. USA got suffered heavily due to their intensive home loan defaulters but developing countries from Asia and south America got chances to withstand on their own and then USA government started to print big amount of dollars in trillion value to bail out their corporate and their national economy too.

I was working in a software corporate at that time and lost my job due to that recession and then I entered into online earning by 2009 and I heard about bitcoins by that time or at least in 2010 but ignored it and then I checked bitcoin prices again when it was trading in ~$20 still I did not show interest to bitcoins. Then, again I checked by 2018 June/August and found it was trading around $600 to $700 levels so I opened a blockchain wallet to have payout from a faucet.

After bitcoin hit $1000, I started showing interest to bitcoins. But, the root case must be the recession in 2008. I lost job hence I entered into online earning then slowly entered into bitcoins .

I have seen more people complain about the fees financial institutions charge, but most of them don't do anything to change it.

The most interesting aspect is that people legit believe that financial institutions implementing blockchain tech will help them reduce fees and speed up transactions, but that's not what will be happening. They will implement blockchain tech, but won't be granting their clients any of these advantages. In other words, you will continue with slow transactions and high fees. It's their core business model, how can they ever let go of that?

I doubt if anyone of us here are even aware of bitcoin at the time it started. And most people who started early only took it seriously a few years after. I probably wouldn't have thought much about it if i knew then.

I doubt anyone would actually mine an unknown currency which had no value or popularity if they did not believe it would eventually make an impact, no one may have been expecting the boom of 2017, but most early adopters, which was mostly developers had their curiosity piqued by the Bitcoin network.

My worries in 2008 was not that much despite the effect of economic meltdown world over though it's effect was not that felt in my country and maybe because I was not having much responsibility as compared to what am facing in recent time. Although I was not even aware of Bitcoin existence until 2016 that I got to know about Bitcoin and crypto currency in general.

but I once learned about the state of bitcoin at that time from the experience of my colleague who had joined since the beginning of bitcoin was created, but I can't regret anything, I never expected back to a time when bitcoin was cheap or expensive, I hope that in the future bitcoin prices will continue to increase.
