I think this is another great idea JC, but at the end is work for theymos, so, I don't think it would be that easy to make it true. At end always the good ideas are welcome, so, let's see what the boss thinks about it.

You can't deny it gets annoying though.

The start of the topic of the drama sure is somewhat funny sometimes and then we just incur emptiness and lack of thought thereonin when users run out of ideas and realise they're not going to win. The mods don't remove this (although they probably should because it would give that user more 'beef' and make another funny topic spark from it).

We need more stupid users that don't understand when the game is up so they keep putting efforts into their dramatic posts long after anyone particularly cares anymore...

It doesn't work with newbies and I still have that one post I have to read before hitting ignore.
I have started to use my ignore button a bit more, sometimes I temporarily unignore someone but it never lasts long...

I need an addon that allows me to just see LoyceV, Theymos, jackg (he's alright) and Jet Cash's topics on meta and no one elses .

The idea is great, but it's almost impossible to implement  IMO.

over time it becomes really easy to filter posts just by a quick look, i have not been here long, but i have already trained my brain to read what it thinks i want to read and ignore the rest, i think everybody has already developed a similar thing, even without the use of the ignore function, i think most members know what to read and what to ignore.

also depending on the WHERE you read, as for now , you should not expect to see much of good posts on meta or reputation, but the serious discussion for example is doing pretty well ,( i think you and I had a good discussion there a few days ago).

Yep I think this board will be a great idea. Let's give them their board. Something appropriate to their combined achievements here...hmmm... The broom cupboard... No sigs though or avatars or any advertising. I wonder how active that place will be.

If you agree to a zero sigs board then of course you should be given your own echo chamber.

Jet cash will not need to

1. get upset if his reporting is not 100% accurate
2. get upset if his posts get moved to a more suitable area
3. get challenged to review facts that demonstrate wrongdoing and have to admit he dare not. Yikes...

Fact: what keeps a board active is the fact signatures display are been allowed and merit circulation is at its peak.

The Ivory Tower and serious discussion board aren't that active like other board so I doubt this clubroom will become a success although I love the idea and I'll say lets give it a try. Any suggestion that'll bring in positive development are always welcome but what are the topic going to be discussed there that can't be discussed currently on serious discussion and Ivory tower board? Or it's going to be like a shrine to go seek wisdom from the 12-13 legendary members 😂

I suggest a club room that is moderated by 12 legendaries who aren't going to bitch and fight with each other. They can have total control over posting and threads on that board, and they can decide on the topics, subject to certain guidelines set up when the room is implemented.

Create a chatroom and be those Legendaries to moderate the chats. Who cares LOL

The problem with these exclusive forums is that there is not enough critical mass for discussion. Quality discussion takes times and energy people could be devoting toward other goals therefore essentially relies on people's boredom to produce content. If you wanted a smaller more select group like this to work I would say you should offer some kind of monetary version of merits like we here here. I loathe to compare it to the "R" word because it is such a dumpster fire, but a system like that could give incentive for people to provide more active and more quality content.

Taking part in informed and interesting discussions is enough rewards for me. It stops being rewarding when there is bad posting behaviour, bitching, and self aggrandisation. I'd also like to contribute a bit towards global income equality, and I don't mean just giving away money.

Even in the Sammy sections where there are lots of bitching,etc,good quality discussions still go on and a lot of learning is acquired in them
In the proposed section,what would be the penalty for low quality talk or discussions.
Despite the good idea behind the thought,it definitely cannot work and would not be implemented.
SD and IT sections are somewhat not functioning at the moment,and the best idea would be to get them working again.

Yeah there is always chances like that. Its true when a multiple number of people take decission for a common issue always we got different opinions there.

IMO currently forum is going nice. Forum isn't over moderated really.
