I don't know that we've been in a bear market for the last few months, as bitcoin's price has been just flat.  It's been more of a stretch of price stability.  Bear markets are defined as something like a drop of 10% over the course of a year, but it seems like that already happened quite a while ago--the drop from $20k to where bitcoin is today happened relatively quickly, and it's been stalled for what seems like forever.

If bitcoin stayed in the $3500-4000 range for all of 2019, I don't think that would qualify as a bear market.  Nevertheless I'm hoping that btc doesn't remain in that rangr all year, that it can at least hit $5000 by year's end.  A stable price might be great if you're using btc as a currency, but I rarely do.  And new investors generally won't be attracted to an asset that isn't doing anything.

Worrying too much wouldn't solve anything. The fact is, if you bought high and "lost money" there's nothing you can do to recoup that unless you stay and wait this out. Brace yourselves, it can get even lower. I just try to tell my self that whales are in hoarding phase and we'd get better news in 2020.

And thats your fault, it's your fault when buying ATH, and now you have to bear it all, after the price skyrocketed there will definitely be bearish in a period that cannot be determined, so if you have already bought, then you must be prepared with all the risks . of course there are things you can do like cutlose, a lot of people do that, to save their assets. some others hold back, maybe it's only for people who are patient

Well me personally, I didn't lose anything. I remember seeing someone mention in a thread that he lost 90% though and I doubt that guy bought during the ath. That's still a HUGE sunk cost. Might as well keep those bitcoins and try not to think about it much.

I don’t think you’re right, it is not up to two years that the price has been on low price. Some of these people are those who bought out of FOMO. Some of them never really expected the pride of Bitcoin to go as high as it did the last time and when it did , they all started rushing in cause they don’t want to miss out on the profit they will make from it, but unfortunately for them, while they believed that the price will continue upwards , it failed them.

They are really in the wrong timing but somehow, those events might give learning's to them and for everyone.

yes, even though the value of bitcoin is still relatively high compared to the year when the first time bitcoin was released, but if calculated from the decline in prices to date, bitcoin has experienced a delay long enough to go back up. Indeed bitcoin is experiencing price corrections from very expensive when December 2017 approached USD 20000, continues to decline to USD3500 and lasts long enough that many bitcoin owners are desperate and sold at a loss because they are impatient and affected by negative information about bitcoin.

well, thinking of a bear market only makes us panic, and doesn't focus. managing finances we have today is a very important factor before a bull market occurs. I though that the 2013-15 correction lasted for more than 2 years... or perhaps I was wrong. Back then, it started with the Mt Gox robbery. The prices suddenly plummeted to less than $200 per coin, before recovering to around $600 within two months. Anyway... if this is true, then I would say that it is very encouraging news for us. It means that we can expect a spike very soon.
