most likely there will be a bull run in that year because I see good news on bitcoin in 2020 there will be a halving day so it seems that it will make the price of bitcoin expensive because the total supply will be less and it will be more difficult to get bitcoin.

Well, then it would be more logical to assume that we will see a bullish run in 2020, and this year will be calm, maybe with minor fluctuations or even a new bottom

In previous halfing a whole market started grow. But in this we can see another huge things whoch can affect to price growing. Just in 2 month Fidelity going to launch platform for custody and trading crypto. They have 7.2 trillions usd in their client assets. This will be a massive news for crypto world and new huge money coming in crypto  

No one knows if the bulls enter the market or not. We just need to hope and to wait for the better. Try to trade when the cryptocurrencies are declining. It also works for many people.

History has shown that the HODLers were right and the speculators were wrong (I mean after long bear market periods). I think that this story will be repeated, and it is the long-term investors that will earn the most in 2019 and 2020. Trading in bear market is for gamblers.

You were too early to say everything besides people are only speculating if the market would continue to become bearish this year. Most of the speculators now are hoping that the halving in 2020 will fix and starts the bull run. If Q1 may not give the bullish market then we will wait for Q2 and so on.

Yes, I think the anticipation of the halving will likely give us a rise in the price of Bitcoin and the whole crypto market overall. So now 1,800 BTC are mined everyday. Since mining costs are so high, there is a good chance many of these are being sold. At the current price that is ~$6,210,000   of new BTC per day that must be absorbed in the market. So when we go down to 900 BTC/day that should have a nice impact on the supply/demand curve. Of course they crypto market is a bit more mature, so it is hard to predict how much or fast it will rise. Still the cryto asset class is relatively small compared to traditional markets, so any drip of institutional money should help in a slow rise. I would dollar cost average in over the next few months, but would like to be all in by May of this year.

Mass adoption is happening right now, does not matter that the price is dropping.
The new bull run we may see, but I doubt about the new highs this year, maybe 2020.

there will be no a direct pump after halving but this should be a long term halving. We must take the chart of bitcoin after halving in 2016 as the main example. It may need a year after halving to start another bullish trend again for sure.

While that even is more than a year from now before it happens, try to look for other opportunities instead of just waiting for the bull run because its not a guarantee that halving will trigger the bull run. We can't rely on history repeats it self. Look at what happen last December, everyone is waiting for a bull run but nothing happened.

Maybe after halving, the price can raise faster than before halving because the rewards for the miner is reduce and the price needs to adjust to the new price. The bull run will comes and we only need to wait for a while and we can prepare to join with the bull run by buying more and more bitcoin so we can sell bitcoin in the high price.

It should be YES, because Bitcoin halving makes Bitcoin harder to mine it. Harder to mine can make the price of Bitcoin more expensive.

Next bull run can start any day on any good news or factors. The halving is almost one and half years away anyway and there should be another bull run near its time.

It is truth that bull run should be expected any moment from next year and this year should be seeing as a recovering face. I think we are to buy this year and makes profits from our purchasing next year.  The market is in there needs of funds as it at the state of oversold area.  Bitcoin is not going to do too well this year but next year we are going to experience strong bullish that will make bitcoin mooning again.  The halving maybe the reason for the next bull run and that is may 2020.

practically nothing changes. Positive forecasts for the near future are heard and if they do not come true this year, then of course everyone hopes that these forecasts will come true next year. And this situation will continue Year after year. I think that there should be specific prerequisites for the stabilization of the cryptocurrency market, but today I see only the outflow of capital from the cryptocurrency market.
