I observed lately, bitcoin continues to decline and it is difficult to rise to the top, do you think this bearish trend will continue until Q2 2019? If the situation gets worse (the price drops), do you still want to stand up and hold it until the end of 2019? It seems that I have to take a vacation, so I don't get too bored.

The clearest option for us right now is to be patient. Bitcoin doesn't look bad right now, its not like the 2018 horrible market, we are not looking great neither but we are certainly not looking bad. The market went upto 20 thousand dollars once and we saw what we were missing, we had a lot of issues to handle and we were not ready for it

Indeed, from a view point of a long-term holder who bought a few bitcoins anywhere above 15k in 2018 it may have been quite brutal. But I don't think 2019 is a lot better. It may look and feel better but this is entirely psychological (let's call it mind games). After all, the price right now is at its lowest (well, not exactly the lowest but pretty close)

So, while it may actually feel better as prices stopped crashing, technically, we are still way worse than most of 2018. Further, there was a lot of price action throughout the year as massive falls were followed by monumental rebounds, which you could use and should have used to trade profitably. This is no longer the case now

Even the price of bitcoin is not good until now and there is no possibility that the price of bitcoin will rise again, but for me i want to be a bitcoin holder until the price of bitcoin goes up again and back to its position to bring a big profit for those people who are holding their bitcoin until that time.

Even in the past during the days close to the Chinese New Year there'll be market variation. This too maybe the same. Hope the growth continues in a gradual manner.

Hopefully it does. There have been a lot of times when the market showed green in general for a few days and was really promising, but then turned around again. I guess we really can't expect a sustained recovery just yet unless we get a legitimate catalyst to start off a run.

In my opinion all this year we will see this trend and in the next year we will begin to see the recovery. This year there is nothing that drives a great increase of prices, for example ETF is still pending for approval and its chances of being approved are very few. another case is BAKKT that is also in the same situation as the ETF and their chances of approval are very small. With this I can say that I wait for next year to see the price recovery

For most holders it would likely mean accepting that they lost their cryptocurrency investments. I don't mean that prices won't revert in 5 years (probably they will), but how much? As I see it, the only possible way for prices to return to 20k and beyond is another speculation boom ("bull run") but it basically means that a new, bigger wave of holders should arrive with fresh money, and that may actually take so many years

It's too early to tell

Bitcoin rising 300 dollars doesn't mean a major recovery as it is only a minor rebound, probably before tanking lower. There were quite a few recently, with prices rising over 4k and we still couldn't stay there. As I see it, the real recovery will start after we break out of 5k. This price will be a major resistance level with lots of shorts entering the market, and if we fail to penetrate it, we will still be in a long-term downtrend

Little rise, bitcoin is keeping this level between 3 and 4 thousand dollars for a while. When I started with bitcoin price dropped hard to 150 dollars, and entire 2015 and 16 were between 200 and 400 dollars. Only in the end of 2016 we had price over 500 dollars and than explosion in 2017. This is like deja vu for me, we are holding this position and I think this position will last entire year, so don`t be too exited, price can drop again. We are not moving from here before next year.

BTC believe to be able to definitely stand up as what this technology has been made. It does faces a lot of obstacles but it always gives us hope if we just believed in it. It's been more than 10 years and it continues to be more useful especially when it comes to helping the community. So, we just have to be calm and observed it until we can see some improvement in it.

I think we go sideways, put very simply because any great prediction relys on development not just fundamental but market reaction to crypto pricing after spiking so highly.     So call it digestion but really 2019 I would guess is a period of reflection and underlying protocol advancement hopefully but in terms of price its the tail end of people selling then after 2019 perhaps realising they were selling far too late.    

Even though we can predict the selling will be overdone it doesnt really stop it happening, majority of us are motivated short term unfortunately.   I think thats just human nature, poorly organised strategy for many people and then quite a few after will end up rebuying at prices higher then they sold.   Its exactly what happens with stocks and I dont imagine crypto is so much different in its herd dynamic

I will continue to hold it back because if I sell it will certainly suffer a big loss, so it is better for me to keep holding it and buy some bitcoin. I will keep holding it because I have intended for a long-term investment, so I will sell it when the price has gone up considerably.

if you see it until today the bearish might not have ended, but I will give my analysis here, there I give a little analysis of when bearish will end so let's look at it at the end of 2019, if you feel bored you can start your holiday now

That's because people do not trust Bitcoin

As they continue to trust fiat. If they honestly believed in Bitcoin's bright future, they wouldn't sell it for a few percent of profit. In that case they would likely not sell it at all other than to provide for their daily need and necessities. It is noteworthy here that it doesn't matter what people might say or think to the contrary as most if not all of us act on feelings, not solid knowledge

Solid knowledge may provide good reasons for feeling in a certain way (let's call it correct way) but we still act instinctively, especially when we have to act fast and immediately. This is an important factor we should always remember about when planning and analyzing our actions and possible future behavior under certain conditions (for example, under extreme stress of dealing with abrupt market changes)
