ALERT: SCAM ATTEMPTS FROM (fake) BTC-E AND (fake) BITSTAMP

Since a couple of weeks I've been receiving some emails from Bitstamp which obviously they were FAKES.
Today, I received an email from BTC-E and I have a bad feeling about all of this.

English is not my native language, but it seems that they're poorly written.

May be attacker is using same list obtained from bitstamp to spam user. As they can simply guess that most of people may have same email associated to different exchanges.

I've been receiving the same bitstamp shit but they alwayys landed in my spam so its definitely not a good sign and throw red flags I never opened mail plus I also read earlier in the forum that people are receiving phasing emails from blockchain as well where are got emails saying you transaction is not been completed they will ask u to click on the link and will take you to the unreal blockchain.info login page. Stay alert guys !!!

Just came on to warn people about the BTC-e one doing the rounds. Somewhere along the way an email list has been acquired and someone seems to be phishing across all the markets. Just remember not to click on links from the emails and don't rely on them hitting the spam folder. The BTC-e one reached my inbox and if some people with a bit more experience get their hands on this list you can expect some very convincing fakes.

If you run an exchange never make people download files and create/publish an email link policy so that people can identify genuine emails from your company.

If you use exchanges then don't click on a link or attachment in any email unless you were specifically expecting it I.e. Two factor auth, and even then be careful because these threats will evolve.

i dont think its from a bitstamp hack. as i have 3 accounts with them, and never received any spam.

so its likely from another source. maybe you signed up to a BFL newsletter and they sold your personal information, maybe it was a gambling site, or even mtgox selling data to gain more assets for their legal defence.

either way never EVER check your email, or facebook on the computer that stores your wallet.dat.

i think its time people bought a raspberry pi to only have one function. to store their wallets. no gaming, no downloading free apps, no surfing porn. purely use the raspberry pi to hold your funds.
