If to store altcoins for a long time, then I use paper wallets. But if you need somewhere to store coins with smart contracts and tokens, you have to use the web version, although I understand that this is not very reliable. Thanks to your post, I learned about new wallets, thank you.

Until now I have to be careful in choosing a crypto wallet, because I'm worried about hacking accounts that still appear frequently. I often read from a lot of people's experiences about how to anticipate prevention so that they don't experience hacking. It is very useful and useful.

Thanks for very informative threads. You described about 5 different wallets those are very important for newbie member. Most of the time i use myetherwallet and sometimes mobile wallet like coinbase and trustwallet which is launched via Binance. Some experience in Peculium desktop wallet. On the other hand still i didn't used paper wallet and hardware wallet.

•       Hot and Cold Wallets :
Hot wallets are wallets that are connected to the internet, and this  make hot wallets poses more risks and less secure but are more user friendly.
Cold wallets are not connected to the internet but are stored offline. Cold wallet
Poses less risk and improved security.
Hot wallets are used more on day to day transaction, while Cold wallets is prefer for         .long term holding

•   MULTICURRENCY WALLETS
Multicurrency wallets allow you to store various coin in one wallets, you do not need to have several wallets for several coins, some multicurrency wallets have features that will allow you convert from one cryptocurrency to another, though you may need to complete some steps on line to do this.

•   MULTISIGNATURE WALLETS
Multisignature wallets are commonly known as multisig wallets. These wallets require more than one signature to make a transaction go through, you will not be able to access the account without all the signature and that is an improved security.

Well said now the newbies could choose the right wallet for their own.
This also includes the pro's and con's of each type of wallet.
I only use three of them web wallet for receiving bounties and airdrops.
Mobile wallet because our local wallet could be used to cash out crypto into fiat in just a few clicks.
And the last one is hard ware wallet where I keep my cryptos for the long run, I only use or receive some crypto using my hard ware wallet if I am holding it for a long time.

If I would some wallet which is owned by third party - you do not own private keys, I would store my cryptocurrencies in a wallet that gives me something like Cobo wallet. But more safe way is store by your self when you own a private key.

I think that we need a multi-block wallet that would correct the situation with individual wallets that we have today. I think that now you and I have the opportunity to do something useful.
According to me it is good to use only one wallet so that you will feel easy to keep your private key safer, when you will choose multi wallet then maybe you can forget your private key which is dangerous enough, I always suggest to use blockchain as wallet because it is safer than any other wallet and it has more reliability than other wallets.

Great thread and gratifying your patience to guide people on a matter of utmost importance as much as to be successful here. I definitely can't trust web wallet. It's important to always be aware of the updates of your operating system and even the wallets. Relying on third parties is like using 'internet banking'.

There are many wallets in cryptocurrency which must be considered carefully before using especially when you are a newbie because some of these wallets may not be that secured and may expose your resources to hackers.

It's an outstanding post. I just wished this forum, particularly this particularly section can be more enriched with posts like this. It is not only detailed, but informative and inspiring. You can as well try to update with other types of wallets as they are lunched.

We've got access to more and more cryptocurrency wallets, but using the top wallets with good reputation will be far better. I've lost around 0.2 btc using a new wallet which within few months took the funds and ran away. As cryptocurrency adoption keeps increasing more new wallets with added features have been existing in the crypto world.

MEW is the best and safest for me today. I constantly participate in Bounty companies and have already paid attention to the fact that it is projects that are related to rc-20 that have a higher success rate than those that use other platforms or offer to register accounts on exchanges instead of their purses for storing cryptocurrency.

You're right, cryptocurrency wallets are a very big problem in the sense that you have to choose a well-protected wallet to keep the scammers from hacking

This is very enlightening. As a newbie it's important to know the different types of wallets necessary to store crypto assets safely. However, I wish there's a way to outline the best two or three wallets of each category.

Wallets are the one of the most valuable thing in this crypto ecosystem. If you have some extra money then I will suggest you to buy a hardware wallet a treazor or a ledger nano. But it's fine to use other wallet. But always use open-source or official wallets. And better stay away form exchange wallet when it comes to long time holding. I always use official or recommended wallets. And mostly I use myetyeher wallets and it support all ethereum platform based token. For NEo based token I use neon wallets and for Eos I use tokenpoket simple Eos and nova. That's it. And for BTC I use exchange wallets cause I always trade so it is easy for me to handle it in exchange.
