Are altcoins useless?

I do not consider altcoins useless. Altcoins are the entire cryptocurrency with the exception of Bitcoin. Now it is the Altcoins that are developing well and are able to give good practical results and be useful to people. However, in order for their projects to be divorced, a certain time is necessary, most often several years. Therefore, no need to rush to conclusions. Altcoins still show themselves

I agree, Altcoins are the driving force of the entire cryptovalic market, they are very necessary for the Bitcoin ecosystem. I believe that the Altcoins will grow in price.

No they aren't useless and of course people also use altcoins and we need altcoins too. If altcoins is useless then why people still do trading with altcoins. I know there are some useless coins but not all of them are useless.

Market growth is also influenced by altcoins, it is true that trading provides good enough for market volume and also we cannot understand that altcoin is bad or useless

I think this depends upon the success of the project. If the project has the capability of success and is a very good outcome, i think its coin would be a good quality coin unlike other coin that is only going to be a dump priced coin or low valued coin. For me, the useless altcoins are coins that has no value even if it takes about year and still no price at the market, this makes only altcoins degrade its reputation.

Prior to the market surge of 2017 most altcoins seem to be doing perfectly well in the market until the bearish market of 2018, which saw many supposedly good altcoins gasping for breath.
It goes to show that most altcoins are useless when placed against their usecases to the blockchain development.

There are completely useless altcoins as there are very good alts, with real utility (see ETH), as well.

Now days we have more than 1 000 altcoins on the market. The question is, are people really using them? Frankly speaking only bitcoin, ethereum and monero are used for P2P payments. All others are used mainly for speculation purposes. Is it worth buying altcoins now days? Having ALTcoin are freedom , every community are encourage to have their own altcoin if that whats interest their community , i dont think its useless, unless you are just sour at missing out the opportunity .

There are so many altcoins in this market and not all of them are really useful, just a few of them can survive until today, and we rarely hear anything about new altcoins can be used for our daily life, they are used just only to pumps and dumps for other altcoins, so unless an altcoins has already been in top altcoins, they are useless to investors.

Most of them are just some minor iterations over other projects. As such, most are indeed useless. Wait til the real crypto-apocalypse comes. It would wipe out most projects.

I don't exactly get what you're trying to emphasize dude, just all I understood was on your topic in the above on which is are altcoins useless?
Of course, is not useless instead it is very useful at the moment. Don't you know that through altcoins most of the traders got their profit in it including myself. Therefore, in that way it is very helpful to anyone here.

Of course we need them, how can we do without them? Yes, the majority is not anyone needs coins, but some still belong to projects that they are still working on, implement their ideas and promote their coins as they are an integral part of working platforms and means of payment for them.

No many alt coins are good, of course there of a lot of rubbish ones but if you invest in a top 10 alt coins then you should be OK.

Most people here trust these first, top-10 altcoins. However, there are many other cool projects that can also give you a lot of profits. Take, for instance, Waves, OmiseGO, Ontology. I am ready to buy more of these alts.

I believe that you need those Altcoins who provide a completely new technology. Who have a real use and not just for show.

I believe that you need to revisit your lessons of Altcoin and uses again. See couple of decades ago, the total worth of digital market was equivalent to nothing and right now it has I think surpassed about three trillion dollar. Project like Ziliqa or Quarkchain are pretty new, but they can easily overbeat Ethereum and Tron. The question you asked is beyond that but in short I think i can say no to your to your question. There are more then 1000 altcoins in crypto market alot are improving and many are losing it volume because many altcoins not not having good projects, someone can sit somewhere and create his own token he then give them away and it is been listed in an exchange and people will start trading but any good investor will cross check the project before he invest in it and when this altcoin under this project is seem to be not true project the investor will not choose to invest in it. That particular project token holders also will then dump them and go away and that will be the end of it.

No altcoins are not useless. Only the coins are useless which do not do anything to implement what they are established for. Only the coins are useless which cannot compete in the competitive market. According to reports, almost 60 percent of altcoins have been disappeared due to their failure to compete in the market. and I think many of the existing coins will be replaced for their failure to compete. But good and promising coins have future.
