Many altcoins are really useless on the market, but the upper alcoins have always been necessary and have some sense of existence.

not all for speculation purposes especially those platforms and altcoins that have promising futures. The platform MOAC has been getting really involved in China for quite some time now across enterprise level businesses

This is the fact that most can't accept and if they found out that the altcoins that are being called as useless are part of their portfolio. Let's take that fact and accept that most altcoins are really useless after the ICO or after being listed on exchanges.

I am believe with more than 2000 different altcoin, there is profitable and worth to invest altcoin. I am agree that many altcoin are speculation investment or pump and dump token but investor getting smarter and they must be choosing a good long term investment

Now days we have more than 1 000 altcoins on the market. The question is, are people really using them? Frankly speaking only bitcoin, ethereum and monero are used for P2P payments. All others are used mainly for speculation purposes. Is it worth buying altcoins now days? I guess no, because all of them excluding tether are following bitcoin price chart.  I mean if bitcoin is going up or down, altcoins are doing same. (Tether is connected to US dollar rate and used mainly for arbitrage trading purposes) So do we really need altcoins? Regarding platforms, only ethereum is mainly used, and mostly for creating ERC tokens. All others, like waves, neo, etc are used very rarely. Monero is used mosly for shady deals because it is untraceable. (I doubt about that, because one dude who opened a shop on a dark web for selling drugs was cached by police last week. For communication he used 3 level protected VPN and was accepting payments only in monero) https://www.wired.com/story/monero-privacy/ You can read about dark web here. https://www.techadvisor.co.uk/how-to/internet/dark-web-3593569/ days. The main question is: Do we really need altcoins? Or Bitcoin, Ethereum and Monero are enough for crypto comunity this days?

Nope, every coins or altcoins have different use cases, that is why, it is wrong to say that most altcoins are useless,.its just that they have different platforms with different use cases.

I am agree every altcoin have different purpose. But i think many altcoin are pump and dump project. I am prefer choosing good altcoin in top 100 coinmarketcap because i think it have good daily trading volume and good liquidity

In my opinion All altcoins are not useless, they may suffer now due to market instability and acceptance factor. for those altcoins that are utility coins with a tangible products  i think they just need some time and will start booming . the cryptoworld as a whole is still too young for us to  conclude that altcoins are worthless.

Yes right, Altcoin is currently still below the price, because the decline in Bitcoin prices has a big impact on the price of Altcoin, but after Bitcoin rises again I'm sure Altcoin will return to the sky. So it's only patience that we must improve at this time.

it is true many altcoins from ICOs are dumped and become useless just have been used for pumping and dumping, and because the investors prefer BTC to other altcoins, they have the tendancy use keep all their assets into BTC, not altcoins because BTC can hold its value better than altcoins.

I second this statement. This is absolutely fine with so many altcoins in the market. They have nothing for their future. They are just established and now are quite ignorant and ill-mannered to market. People don’t see them, don’t search for them and even don’t read about them as well.

Still yes, there are top altcoins like lite coin and ETH, the supreme one. It has just made a colossal impact on market in last couple of years.

The generally accepted information, today a very large number of projects that in fact will not develop anything, is an understandable fact that a very large number of people understand. But they still invest in them. This is strange

Some coins are really useless. I thought that they were created only to enrich the developers. These are empty and unnecessary projects. We must choose more reliable and promising projects for investment.
Useless coins are created by developers for scamming purpose somehow. At the end all of them is refusing to list on exchanges and this goes forever.

People have to be careful in investing in any such projects which is aimed only to take money and scam the people and run away. So either do your research so properly that you do not get struck in such scams or invest only after they get listed on the exchanges and you see that it is worth and will have a future in coming years.

It could be, useless when developers don't have good innovations in their projects, they don't have a strategy to survive the competition in the crypto market, have a small volume, and have no community, better you stay away from that coin dude

I have the opposite opinion and from technical side, I believe that BTC is useless and altcoins can provide much more value. They are increasing their blockchain speed every month and I hope within a short period of time we will see 100,000 TPS by an altcoin and such numbers are unimaginable by Bitcoin.

yes, some of them are useless when they are on the exchange, they will have a sale value if the team actually develops a road map further and vice versa. but on the other hand we also need altcoins which have the potential for long-term investment, we are only small investors so we need altcoins even though many of them have no selling value.

I think it depends on the altcoins you hold if there is potential or not because if these altcoins are not potential will lead to your losses or you can beat a lot in holding or buying altcoins to just be sure to legit and have potentially and above all is longterm so you do not have to make your money smart because of the many outgoing jan scams that altcoins so be careful about it so you do not have to wait for the ico to come up with a lot of scams and their purpose is to raise another person and take their money or steal others.

On a serious note, I must say there are some altcoins that are totally useless, but that does not mean that all altcoins are useless. Among the altcoins, there are great altcoins with amazing future.

There have been hundreds of coins and tokens to die because of the red market conditions for a year, of course many investors are sorry and losers like me because of holding shitcoins and this is what makes the future of crypto difficult.

Current conditions are not very good for Altcoin, especially those that are still in the initial stages of launch so there are many altcoins that die.
but this does not mean that altcoin is useless because some altcoins are quite developed in this condition even though the development is very small but they are able to survive so that if the market is better then the altcoin that can survive will develop faster.

Altcoins are like an investment in a project. If you believe in a project then you support it. All go to decentralization. If there are only 2-3 coins, it will be a monopoly.

Of course there are altcoins that are useless, especially those which are scams. But there is a huge potential in altcoins, for me it's just the matter of time when bitcoin will lose its position as a first of all cryptocurrencies. There are some interesting projects out there, i especially enjoy observing some small altcoins grow after a while, for example there is FuturoCoin - a small cryptocurrency launched in early 2018, and recently they've signed a huge sponsorship deal with F1 Red Bull Racing Team - there is a really nice interview with CEO of FTO, including details of this deal, link is down below.. Such projects are trying to get "normal" people more into cryptoworld, to attract them, and when it comes to FTO, there are some places where you can use it, like some restaurants in Europe, or on their upcoming gambling platform, FuturoBet

interview: https://www.blockchain24.co/ceo-of-futurocoin-ou-cryptocurrencies-are-the-future/
