KYC for $25 worth of XLM?

I just got an email from Blockchain.com.  They are giving away $25 worth of their Stellar (XLM) coin, but in order to claim it you have to submit a selfie and a government identification card.

I don't have any suspicions about Blockchain, I believe they're legit, but I'm always hesitant to spread my personal information around.

How many of you folks plan to claim your $25?

This is old news. Personally I didn't do it yet. Maybe I will do someday. I tried to do it a few days ago and the link I received just expired...

The risk is that they use your documents in bad activities, or sell them or whatever. But I don't think they will do something like this.

I already claimed mine and for a fact it really dipped the price of XLM because most people just sell off when they get the airdrop. Well, I must say stellar lumens is a top notch project, the giveaway signifies the team strives to make everyone hold some crypto atleast. I really like the project and their development.

yesterday many of my friends suggested these airdrops, they said you would regret not following them. but in the end I'm not interested, you know I don't want to give my personal data for only $ 25 this small amount for a big risk.

I believe that's just choice, you may consider doing it that's if you like. But as for me i hate it whenever am about to drop my personal details like government id and passport, that's why I have never been friends with kyc, always thinking otherwise when dropping my info online because there are a lot of bad guys out there read to give out money to get what they need.

Yes, of course , why not if the giving the gift is an official site like blockchain I am always willing to fill in the kyc , and the results I get from Airdrop XLM are quite large, while ivent is still running, I suggest to fill it as soon as possible

crypto exchanges are famous for hacks and stolen data.If it is my local bank or Govt ,I will be happy to give my KYC docs. Atleast they are stored offline

Then it turns out that their security system was a hole, which was used by hackers and stole the personal data of all users. Well, since the most valuable thing in the world is the information then draw conclusions))

On a serious not it gets someone discouraging when a bounty hunter have to pass through KYC when the coins he or she is getting is definitely worth almost nothing, I feel that KYC is for those big investors not for bounty hunters, besides KYC is done for AML compliance which should be for the Whales.

No, I won't sacrifice my personal information instead of 25$, no way. Yes, it's one of the most legit wallets, but still there is a huge risk of some kind of leak or hack. I don't want to get any problems because of this in future.

i Fill form, and make KYC on website, but i dont get coins jet.

There is no harm to disclosure of identity to Blockchain.org
I mean if you’re an airdrop or bounty participant, you have to disclose your identity in order to receive the rewards due to the mass number of fake entry by scammers.

Some of my folks already claimed the 25$ and it's very worth it 'cause all you need to do is KYC but i don't think it's a safe way just for a money. Well, 25$ is huge money, you can buy a lot of things. The process of verifying your identity is only 1 day, after that you will easily claim the 25$ in your wallet.

Legit, I'm always asking them, why would dev includes the bounty hunters to fill up the KYC? We're working on a forum where our identity is hidden and playing on a username and now just for a bounty they're requiring us.

Still, you're just a hypocrite and can be easily manipulated by money, your decisions will make your life worst. Don't sell your identity or if you're too brilliant, replace your important details with a general term so they can't use it in fraud.

I would not exchange my own data, because I do not understand for what purposes my personal information will be used. I wonder why they are collecting this data, and for what purpose they will use this ...

It is legit but i still wouldn't do it. If someone said to you i want to buy your ID for $25 would you sell it to them? That is basically what you are doing, and i wouldn't do that even if they are a legitimate company

That's basically how I feel about it.  Not that my Driver's license has enough information that could be used to steal identity.  I just get suspicious anytime I'm asked to prove my identity.
