Even after Ten years still Bitcoin is used by Geeks and majority of common citizens doesn't seems to use Bitcoin as a currency or even for trading purposes and I think this situation has occurred because still it is not approachable and that is because even it has all the features for a proper usability majority of people doesn't see Bitcoin as an usable currency for anyone who has basic technical knowledge which is not true but in order to change this situation and make Bitcoin more approachable to common people how its path should change in the future both technically and socially to convince it is a currency for everyone

people should stop expecting bitcoin to be as simple and convenient as swiping a credit card. it's not just a payment method; it's a monetary system with built-in storage/banking, and a payment method all in one. that requires a nuanced economic design, including decentralized (inefficient and cumbersome) relay and validation. not many people but geeks can appreciate its beauty and utility---it takes price bubbles for most people to realize it might be important.

we already have sleek desktop/mobile wallets and hardware wallets that are user-friendly. what may help is the lightning network bringing faster and cheaper payments to users. right now, it's really only recommended for tech savvy users.

at the end of the day, most people aren't interested in alternative forms of money. many people won't bother until it starts becoming the norm.

you are mistaken. those days that people thought bitcoin is a "geek" coin are over. they have been over for years.
nowadays the only reason why people don't choose bitcoin is because of other reasons. reasons such as the huge amount of FUD that has been brainwashing them for years (example: JPMorgan attacking bitcoin on daily basis!), the volatile price which scares people away, the low adoption itself which means people don't see bitcoin be used that often so they don't feel the incentive and finally their own laziness for using something new and different.

i don't think we're even close to most people already using bitcoin. i'd be surprised if even 5-10% owned crypto in developed countries, and i would expect much less in undeveloped countries.

perhaps most people have heard of bitcoin, but that's about it. anecdotally, i've only met two people IRL who use bitcoin (and they really only invest or trade). they're both millennials. of the dozens of other people in my life---no one.

i think lots of older folks in particular are intimidated by the technology.

Bitcoin already approaches users on its value itself.People take risk even if bitcoins votality is quitely high.Though people expect that there will be corrections happening but on the other hand it will also rise to  the top and in that moment people keep on waiting for,the return of investments.

You will not change the technology of bitcoin blockchain and its use for social and technical purposes is impossible. Bitcoin is a digital currency that's all. To use it do not have to be stupid and specifically something to learn - and so it is available to all who want to buy it.

I agree with your point of view, I think some people do not really understand this technology and think that it can be easily adopted by common people that know nothing about modern technologies and innovations in our society. It is true that Bitcoin is hard to understand for an average people that only knows the old ways but I am not blaming them, we are just lucky that we are literate enough to understand and use this kind of technology that Satoshi Nakamoto created 10 years ago.

Bitcoin to be taken on the same levels as fiat, you need more adoption from vendors/marketplace. If the stores dont accept bitcoins, the chances are very low that a person would even think about using Bitcoin as a daily purpose currency. For a common citizen, its not necessary to know the technical aspect of the currency. Just the basics on how to use it and where to store it should suffice. Also another concern is the availability of exchanges and the ease of converting fiat to Cryptocurrency. I still get asked a lot of questions on where to buy Bitcoins and how to trade. WE are movig forward slowly for higher adoption, but it will take much longer to gain popularity and ease of access across the markets.

Compared to users before,  theres a lot difference between users now. Bitcoin become more popular that even not geeks are using it. I also saw more and more sites or even stores are accepting bitcoin worldwide. Maybe its how bitcoin is in your perception but what i saw is that bitcoin is now starting to grow more.

It's more approachable to common users by just explaining on how it's useful with different transactions. You don't need to verify any information just to be able to send it to anyone everywhere in the world.
And telling it to someone today, you don't have to be too firm about explaining the depths of it, why? it's already very popular and there's more people going for it.

I do not agree with this, majority of bitcoin users are not geeks or nerds, I know I am not. Of course majority if common users don't use bitcoin cause there are billions around the world and bitcoin has not gotten mainstream yet.
Basic understanding would suffice for anyone interested in simply owning bitcoins, this does not qualify them as geeks.

Ten years is not a big time for mass adaption and it is impossible for anyone to gather every puzzles when it comes to purchasing and storing the coins carefully, if there is a front end application which is really easy to use even my dad can use and store the coins safely then you will see many people coming in and investing in it, right now people see bitcoin as a store of value and all of these investment are from people who wants to make money rather than using bitcoin as money. Once merchants around the world start accepting bitcoin then we will see massive adaption as a currency.
