The STO is the upper model of the ICO. As far as I know, STO has been accepted by the SEC and devs can not start selling without their permission. So accordingly it looks more secure.
Why your statement is so stupid? Just because ICO change its name to the STO and it will be automatically accepted by SEC? Stop fool others, SEC has bunch of compliances and this must have filled by an ico that wanna register its ico to the SEC. Stop fool others with your statement dude.

I think that they are no different, except that regulators are trying to impose it STO. I don't think there is a different security between ICO and STO.

In the past year we know that many people interested in (ICO) of initial coins offering, and now many people starting to vote (STO) of security tokens offering. I think this is something that we need to deal with with challenges. Because it is a good goal, and the aim of investors is to make a profit.
 Why not ?? No problem..

which one is more interesting and more desirable?
ICO is the initial coin offering, while STO is the security token offering. Due to the ban of ico's on China, Hong Kong, partially on USA made it worse. Particularly more ico's got termed to be scams and ponzi. Few of which were the bitconnect, onecoin and more counts to the list. Regulators are warming to the STOs. This means that companies will have to admit that their tokens represent shares and are meant to pay dividends to shareholders, in the case that they are not a utility token–like most ICO companies.
Excellent reading experience and this really helped me in analyzing STO.
I talk too much and find out about ICO but don't know STO yet.

I will save your thread reply in the bookmark, so that I can learn more for a wider understanding. Thanks bruuhh !

This is something to be expecting, the space needs some real laws to make it less fishy since the sum of SCAMs going on in crypto is unbearable.
I think the Binance platform for ICO seems pretty goo o far, only LEGITIMATE projects will get there since they are using their reputation on the stake.
STO is pretty goo too but the regulations will make it so hard for any FinTech to get there & be admitted as security.

I think STO is more desirable. At present this project are more trusted and secure between STO. For that season most of crypto lover choice STO and I also always choose it.
