Hello guys,

is it possible to buy an ETF with bitcoin, I mean to pay it in bitcoin without changing BTCs in fiat and pay with fiat?

If yes, how is this possible and what to pay attention to?

Thank you a lot

PS: a friend said this is not possible but I wondered and said maybe with bitpay? So please dont disappoint me Wink

im verry confuse about this one > " is it possible to buy an ETF with bitcoin, I mean to pay it in bitcoin without changing BTCs in fiat and pay with fiat? "

what do you mean when you say etf ? you mean eth ?  nowadays  , you can use your btc directly to pay without exchanging it to fiat .

but not when you buy eth using btc  that because is already consider as trading . you are trading your btc to eth  .  not sure if i get it right ?

I'm not sure there is an ETF out there where you can use crypto to buy it. Most traditional market only accept fiat iirc. On top of that, it also depends on where you live, does your country allows you to use crypto (Bitcoin) as a medium of payment? If not, then your chance is nil. Stick to fiat if you want to buy traditional ETF.

You mean bitcoin ETF ? Or just some ETF in general ? As far as I know there is no way to buy regular ETF of something else with bitcoin, that hasn't been out yet and the offer is not available from any company. However, bitcoin ETF will probably be capable of purchasing with bitcoin as well, it is not there yet and we are waiting to hear from SEC about their decision before we start but when it starts I bet it will be possible to buy bitcoin ETF with bitcoin.

It wouldn't make any sense to provide people with bitcoin ETF without giving them an option to buy it with bitcoin, that would mean they want the money from bitcoin hype but not actually support bitcoin itself and that would not end well for them. Buying ETF with bitcoin is a long way off tough, we first need bitcoin ETF before we can move on to other ones.

For your knowledge, An Exchange-Traded Fund or ETF is a fund that is traded on a stock market. So, please clarify what are you meaning by the ETF because you are saying to buy ETF. You can use Bitcoin directly to buy anything where is accepted.

There are alot of ETF product according to the asset, just similar stocks we can but ETF only with fiat. We can only trade stocks asset by deposit  Bitcoin in trading product CFDs. But when buy any asset in CFds trading platform, we are not really buy the real asset.

Thx for your answers!

I am no native speaker so I think I confused some of you.

What I want: I want to invest into an ETF (exchange-traded fund) with my Bitcoins. So no bitcoin-etf, only the payment should be in bitcoin.

You can try to find a broker that accept BTC. But frankly speaking it will still work the same way as if you just sold your BTC and fund your account with fiat. They are probably using something like BitPay and will still require you to pass X circles of KYC verification but you might get a lower exchange rate or some extra fees for exchanging your crypto.

Still Bitcoin ETF is not implemented through SEC so i think right now you cannot buy ETF through bitcoin only fiat currency. We all are waiting for the implementation of Bitcoin ETF from SEC, once it is confirmed then only you can trade ETF throgh Bitcoin till then only fiat currency only option is their.

It's called regulations.

In each country of the world you have this kind of regulation?!

Largest and most desired stocks are on the U.S markets, and the US regulations applies on all market participants, including investors no matter where they're from.
There is one more problem, there is a very low or no demand for stock trading or investing using BTC or other cryptos.
Finally, even if you find EUR/APPL markets, they're likely CFDs

This is the best I could search for it.

https://www.cnbc.com/2018/07/03/new-funds-offer-indirect-exposure-to-blockchain-and-bitcoin-but-buyer.html

Try searching mutual funds or equities that are accepting bitcoin if you cannot find any using ETF.
ETF letters are so broad and you will a lot of items at google which is not you are looking for. Try using specific keywords.

Good luck.
