Haven't read the thread fully , just leaving a comment so that I can come back later and read . Btw can we pay entry fee in other crypto ?
Also what happens if only like you find 3-4 participants?
We will get the entry fee back or less number of winners?

It can be but I think it's an extra hassle. Can't you just exchange it in BTC? It will be easier for the escrow I guess and also for the others to do the calculation.

How about we continue even if there are 3-4 participants?

4 participants makes it a good amount 0.02BTC:

40% is 0.008BTC
30% is 0.006BTC
20% is 0.004BTC
10% is 0.002BTC

For 3 participants makes 0.015BTC:

40% is 0.006BTC
30% is 0.0045BTC
20% is 0.003BTC
10% is 0.0015BTC

* we can always adjust the escrow and tx fee from it

If my goal is to be the top then I would not mind with this small win, the fun part will serve as bonus for me :-) I really hope that we get more than 8 to 10 participants.

Let's just start getting some people then we can also look for sponsors too. It's a long tournament. If we have some members then I believe some betting companies will be interested to sponsor us. It worth giving a try.

I dont understand why this IPL prediction gets so less interest while the general Cricket Prediction thread is so active. I hope you'll get some participants before the starting date, sorry I cant participate as I have no knowledge about cricket game. Just in case there will be no participants, I think you should consider to make similar prediction contest for soccer game which is more popular imo. There are CL and EPL prediction contest, so maybe you can start for LaLiga or Serie A in the future.

I like the captaincy of Dhoni for CSK. He is the most cleaver captain I have ever seen. The reason for CSK to win 5 times is only his captaincy I think.

Damn, I saw that you are organizing prediction pool and wanted to join immediately. I absolutely love that kind of competitions. I am currently enroled in Premier League and Champions League pools here on forum.

Then I started thinking WTF is IPL. Sorry guys, will have to skip this one. Don't know a thing about cricket. But if you ever decide to organize something similar for major soccer leagues or maybe tennis count me in.

Yup I think that's the case. Generally I don't know quite much about cricket or IPL but I do love predicting and if it involved some major football league. I would definitely join without thinking twice.

As always, he is the best captain. I saw how he utilized different player in different situation. But, CSK was also a good team with some good talents. You know players like Raina, FAF, Bravo can make difference. They always had the best bowling option too. However, I still have to admit that it's Dhoni who made CSK successful.

There are many people like me who are interested in Cricket, but the number of people who are willing to bet on Cricket matches are far lower including me.

Sorry to hear that, you have worked in it well but the result is not what you expected. Probably you need to do something like a vote for interest first, ask who are willing to join the prediction pool. If there are many interest then you can start it but if there is less interest then you may change the event. Find the most favorite event first.

Cricket as a sport is not really that famous outside of India - if you really want to attract cricket fans then start from the dark websites that run match-fixing betting rings. Which won't happen as they prefer to stay anonymous - after all this is the country of Azharuddin.

Remember, innocent betting on cricket matches is a huge scene in India but that's limited to local pubs - Bitcointalk as a cryptoforum has not penetrated that deep into our society.
