I'm using my desktop for trading when i'm at home and smartphone when i'm outside. I don't use VPN when trading except to open "those" website. For me, It doesn't matter what's your pc brand. At least get a pc with 4GB memory for your convenience.

I am thinking to buy a new computer. Fun. Wondering what you guys use?

Any special computer or just any ol' machine will do?! Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Do you have a VPN or a personal Hotspot?

What Virus Protection do you use?  How about... Mac Afee?

Mac or a DELL?Huh Cool Cool
There is no computer that is special and most importantly that you are comfortable using it, besides that you also have to be able to make sure the computer you are using is at a good level of security. Do not let the computer infected by the virus because it can make transactions that you do are not safe. Trading is a job that requires good security, if not then the assets you have lost will be stolen.

I typically use a Windows laptop or desktop to trade with since it's so much easier to navigate sites and execute trades with a mouse and keyboard compared to tapping away on a phone or tablet; I'm aware there's also Windows tablets out there, but I've already got a pretty capable laptop to use with trading on the go. I've never been a fan of having a hundred monitors, but I have three total monitors on my home desktop setup with the main one being a 144hz Viewsonic panel I also use for gaming and the other two are generic 21.5" 60hz screens at 1080p.

I don't personally use an AV as I don't download or click on anything potentially suspicious on my trading laptop, and using common sense should be enough to keep 99% of malware away. The brand of my laptop is actually Acer and it's the Nitro 5 to be specific; I like to game on the go too and the GTX 1050ti in the laptop is just fine for that purpose.
most of the time there is no big equipment needed for trading show I use my laptop for my all type of trading and also using it for all the transaction to made here in this field.

Actually there ARE special computer from different purposes such as a gaming laptop or a work laptop (IMO a Macbook or pro may be considered as a good work laptop) but when it comes to trading, I think that any laptop or desktop would do so long as it has a good screen and battery life. Don't use one that lags easily or crashes because you'll surely get frustrated or may even lose your information. Security really is important and if you know how to use a VPN, that would be preferable since the information becomes encrypted.

I bought a new laptop. I went in there to planning to spend under $300 and walked out with a $600 laptop plus tax..... It is a CHrome Book. Are these things not that great???  WIth Chrome book, i am sort of limited with what i can do???  This one has 8Gigs of RaM. It is heavy too. I put it in my backpack. It's way heavy. There was another one for less expensive with a larger screen and more buttons (including the number pad) . But the other one was not CHROME.. Does Chrome majorly suck for what we are doing?Huh just trading and using the forums.

I have the option to return this laptop with in 14 days.  This one can have many tabs of Binance open at once. I checked a bunch of machines with 4 Gigs of RaM and they were not able to support multiple tabs of Binance windows open.

Anybody think Chrome sucks???

Get a VPN. You can get VPNs like Windscribe that give you 10GB free a month which should be more than enough as long as there's no video or downloading involved. There may well be others but that's what I started off with. I wouldn't use public wifi without it. I absolutely definitely wouldn't do anything financial on public wifi without one.

How about just trading with............ Iphone or a smart phone device???  Yes/no??

I logged into Binance with my iPhone and iPad and it just does not fully work no matter what I do.
I use Binance occasionally, but it's always been on my desktop PC, running the typical Windows 10 with McAfee.  Never tried it on my phone, but that surprises me that you're having a hard time with them on your phone--I imagine lots of traders do a substantial amount of business on the go.

When I used to fool around with trading on Yobit (not recommended these days), I would often place orders while out for a walk in my neighborhood, and it was very easy to do it.  Then again, I had no use for a lot of the graphical trading tools, which wouldn't look so hot on a tiny smartphone.  Ultimately, whatever you choose should work just fine for you.  My computer eventually bit the dust because it was old, but Binance was still fully functional when I used that PC to access their site.  Good luck.

If you are a professional trader, you really do not need much "pluggins" or special software to trade effectively.Just a simple laptop (with the general security precautions such as not sharing it with others),and a TradingView account for your charts.I doubt if there are trading bots that are effective at the moment.Cryptocurrency has not hit that level of sophistication as we have in Wall Street trading

Outdated pc or laptops would really give you a headache when it comes to processing power and execution of programs and knowing trading platforms would really need up some
good processor PC or laps.
It is true that there are specific types of laptops which either can be gaming or intended for work but i usually suggest HP elitebook when it comes to battery life compared to others.
Too long to drained out battery and i have tested it among other brand of laptops as well.
VPN isnt necessary yet most trading platforms can be accessed by any county so i dont see a problem in regards to this.

If you want to use laptop or desktop is totally up to you. It actually depends on what you do. Laptops are actually more compact and easy to carry anywhere. So if you travel a lot and you need to keep an eye on the charts, then a laptop would do really good. You can use your phone but most exchanges have a laggy/bad mobile interface.

I agree whole HEartedly!!!!  To be FRANK. All of the light weight laptop models are all 4GB of RAM.  All the 8GB ones are heavy.  Hard to carry around... Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry  I like this machine but it's going to be returned.. and exchanged for something better for me. I am NOT spending more than $600 on a laptop.

laptops are bulky but phones are not  .  although laptop are more better to use when trading because you can see the whole screen which gives you easier navigation  .

So if you travel a lot and you need to keep an eye on the charts,

you can do this via your mobile phone as they can access the internet verry fast and less hasle  .

most traders including me are all using laptop when we do trading  but we also need our phone beside us because our phone will recieve the code for the 2fa's  before you can login on your trading account .
