To name a few,

avast, bitdefender, mcaffe, ... etc..

As the subject says. do they really provide enough security with transactions especially in crypto?

 no.

If you use a hardware wallet for example, you don't necessarily need to use a paid antivirus software. The hardware wallet is quite secure by itself, and a free malware bytes and a windows defender software or something like that is enough.

If you use a desktop wallet, such as Electrum, the most important is to avoid phishing sites. Avoid installing program from Unknown sources... You need healthy habits online to stay safe.

Look for the official website to install the wallet, never download from third party websites

I think those paid antivirus consume too much computer resources and I don't like them.

Electrum aslo can be used at mobile, Electrum was really easy to use and secure no need to download the real blockchain. I suggest you to try it first for Electrum, for mobile electrum i forget about the real source maybe you can find it but im sure Electrum have some mobile wallet. dont forget to verify first before instal.

No way, antivirus doesn't help your transaction speed or fee ,it has nothing to do with blockchain transactions ,the only thing antivirus can do is fish out spywares or hijacking tools on your pc don't bother with smartphones

Forget about antivirus software and crypto security. Maybe the antivirus software can help you identify some malware and similar threats, but crypto security is much more complex than that. Don't use mobile wallets to store your coins, especially not if you have substantial amounts of money. Use offline cold wallets, and if you have to use a smartphone wallet, make it a watch only wallet, so nobody can steal your funds.

Be careful with phishing attacks because sometimes people do some smart things to scam you, and there is nothing an antivirus can do about it.

Antivirus is for your computer's security and has nothing to do with your Bitcoin wallet.

Electrum is what I used since I started to send and receive Bitcoin transactions and I don't have any bad experience with it, this is one of the most secure software wallet.

BIG WINNER!

I think there is no relation between antivirus and crypto currency speed transaction. Antivirus just defense your computer from malware and yeah, I agree with leonair that itu hasil nothing to do with your wallet or transaction.

No, they do not help in "transactions" of crypto currencies in anyway. Their only task is to keep your computer secured form viruses and to some extent from external attacks. But, they can help keep your wallets secure from hijackers. Though, there is no such guarantee and you can  not rely on some anti virus to keep your wallets/coins safe.

//thumbs-up to masters

I believe the best desktop wallet is Electrum. Bitcoin core is also a good option, but less intuitive imo

For smartphone I use coinomi, a multcurrency wallet.

The best is to buy a ledger nano or a Trezor (hardware wallets). They are not expensive and are simple to use and very safe

About phishing attacks you can use extensions like metamask that will alert you common phishing sites

Oops, again caught? Coinimi was still my favorite wallet. Samsung Galaxy S10 is told to get a Bitcoin wallet. Am not sure, which solution they offer, a kind of implementet hardware wallet or just a default app. Back to the topic: No, doesn't help, but wouldn't be a mistake to have a security app. My favorite is Sophos Mobile Security cause its free, quick and complete.

Antivirus will not provide you with the proper security of your funds. If you want to protect your crypto, then you need to think about a more reliable means of protection.

Most likely, the usual antivirus programs will be able to help you, but I would not recommend the use of mobile wallets. The best hardware wallet.

Yeah the new samsung flagship s10 will definitely have a wallet created specifically by the company but guys I dont think that I will trust that thing as much as I trust my hardware wallet simply because it is new and tend to be detrimental.

I personally don't believe that the antivirus currently built for smartphone is not really strong enough to detect a lot of things that is been downloaded in your phone.

I have an antivirus on my phone, but I still have issue of virus recently, I had to upgrade my phone to get the virus out, for this reason, I don't make use of mobile wallet for security reasons, I only make use of web wallet.

Smartphones are not secured,it can be encrypted to save the stored data on offline but your screen or other details can be takes from the third party apps which may not come under the category of virus so don't use smartphones for huge wallet fund storage unless you what all installed apps are trusted and not spying you.

I doubt that they can provide a 'higher" security even if you pay premium to those anti-virus companies. First crypto hacking is very sophisticated even crypto jacking is very hard to trace. And also if you used your smart phone as your wallet, the risk multiples, specially if you're always connected online. That's why I don't used crypto wallet in my phones, maybe just my local exchange wallet, but other than that, I never practice installing wallet in my smart phone.
