if Facebook coin will truely see the day light, then it will have a very high utility rate because Facebook and its user base are huge, millions of people around the world connect through Facebook,
so definately the fb coin will gain so much popularity within a short period of time,
but will it have any positive impact on crypto in general? very hard to tell, i don't know if many fb users will accomodate this new feature.
If Facebook starts using cryptocurrencies, of course it will have an extremely positive impact on the entire market. If at the same time access to the cryptocurrency starts to have several hundred million people around the world, then it is at least 500% more than it uses cryptocurrency so far. Adoption will make the huge step in the direction of the mainstream ... or even will be one leg in it. |

I just found out about this news if it is true that FB coins will be launched on cryptocurrency by Facebook so this will get better.
And how many tokens will they be rewarded?

I would like to get an official report from the Facebook team though, if this would be implemented then we are seeing another era of Cryptocurrencies, first it's JP Morgan and now it's Facebook, who is next?

Since i first heard of facebook coin, i did not find it really good and that has not changed to this day. But if even facebook jumps on the crypto train, i am probably right here.  |

If Facebook launches a cryptocurrencies, all cryptos will be over the moon! Prepare for take off!
Why would an altcoin push the price of Bitcoin up? I don't think something like this has ever happened. It was always the opposite. This FB shitcoin is aimed to be a competition not a way to popularize cryptocurrencies. If they chose to launch their own token instead of accepting one of the popular ones it means they want to control it. |

If the appearance of this coin will have a positive effect on the market, that is very good, but I’m not sure if I will invest in this cryptocurrency. I would prefer to buy Bitcoin than Facebookcoin. I don’t really like this platform and I think that this coin will be very centralized.

This would be interesting coins to purchase when it ready, got backing by facebook, the well known social media. It would have many usage, and investing in it would be worth a lot.

i think possible for the facebookcoin to becone better the value compared the bitcoin value but now still bitcoin still highest in all coins. Maybe in the future why I say that because facebook is most website have billions of user and once it advertise Mark Zuckerberg that coin they will have many big investors will invest to FB coin and even the normal people will invest too so the value rise very high. |

If Facebook will embark of crypto project then I can envision it going viral. I will not be left out in it, because I want to believe that a project like that already made successes before launch.

Though I haven't seen any official announcement from facebook about the creation of any coin but I think it something real and going to happen, though from information I gathered, this coin will only be used on facebook platform as a method of payment for facebook ad and not as reward for users.
Though I still see this as a good news because it will give investors more confidence in also buying other cryptocurrency.

Until Facebook's makes a formal announcement about this, I think it is basically just speculation, see how JP Morgan did their own, we heard it directly from the Horse's mouth and there is no doubt about that, let Facebook Emulate that.

But i hope that there will be no private sales to be made and will open 100% to the public so everyone can participate fairly.

No top firms will go completely on public sale, very small percentage will be allocated for public sale. The corporate minds were to make the rich grow richer. To the maximum they might go with a 5% public sale while the rest will be contributed by the large scale investors as well the partners of Facebook. |

That is a good news for digital payment but not for crypto. It looks like a payment method between whatsapp users and to buy services on FB platforms. There's nothing to exaggerate.

It will be stable coin but paged to many currencies not only us dollar
It could be even good idea for users from high inflated countries to buy FB coin and save money from further inlation
Transferring will be 0 fee so that is great advantage
But what will be the way of exchanging coin in to fiat money
It has to be some easy way otherwise it will be not so much in use
People who don't know of crypto currencies will rather not like exchanges
It will also rise his costs
And what about wallets
As i have been reading it will be just beginning of much wider facebook project
According to news launch will be in first half of the year so not so much waiting

I don't think they are going to create any cryptocurrency. If they create any virtual currency that would be much like the XRP a centralized coin/token that fully controlled by the FB founder/team or a group of FB management. Simply they are going to accept a virtual point system instead of $$ in account balances. Those points can be exchanged with $$ at some fixed rate like 100 FB points/coins = 5 Cash (USD). Those guys are centralized freaks.
