What is Patrol?
Patrol function shows you the latest 200 posts of Newbie posts around Bitcoin Forum boards. Patrol is hidden by default but you can enable it on Profile > Forum Profile Information > check Show Patrol link
What is interesting is that according to o_e_l_e_o's post there is a hidden URL where you can check each board specifically so I collected those board numbers and gathered it here.

To do a custom Patrol, use this URLs
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=recent;boards=n;patrol (this only show newbie posts)
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=recent;boards=n (this show all users posts)
n is the number of that board.

You can also chain the numbers to get a result of the boards you selected
i.e. (I think there is no maximum limit about how many board numbers you can chain together)
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=recent;boards=1,4,5,6,7,8;patrol
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=recent;boards=1,4,5,6,7,8

Board numbers (there is currently 240 active Forum boards) I think the 1st number means it is the first board being created, 2nd number second created and so on.

*Missing numbers shows these 2 messages. It is either deleted board or off-limits to normal users.

Board number 2 3 shows the 'No valid boards' message
Board number 15 38 43 58 68  96 106 154 213 214 215 216 218 225 226 233 244 245 249 shows 'missing or off-limits' message.
261 is the last accessible board I got, I scaped until number 280 however did not find anything(it shows 'missing' message) so I assume that Hard wallets under Dev & Technical Discussion is the latest board created.

Huge thanks to o_e_l_e_o's post.
Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

Good information for fans of forum patrols. I noticed a mistake, please correct this:

Great info, I didn't found any other previous thread related to the Petrol function. Its probably very useful to track the latest posts in any section of the forum. Most of the people who like reporting a bunch of posts per day could use this function to keep track on the latest post and find the scams as early as possible. It can be used in many more positive ways too.

Couple of small corrections:

Patrol function shows you the latest 100 posts around Bitcoin Forum boards.
Patrol (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=recent;patrol) actually shows you the latest 200 posts from only newbies. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=recent shows you the latest 100 posts from all users.

To do a custom Patrol, use this URL https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=recent;boards=n, where n is the number of that board.
That shows you a list of recent posts by all users in that board. You can also add ";patrol" to the end to narrow it down to only newbie posts.

Also worth reminding people you can chain boards together in the same link, such as: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=recent;boards=7,8,57

261 is indeed the "last" publicly available board, which you can see from the sitemap here: https://bitcointalk.org/sitemap.php?t=b

Thanks for clearing it out. I had been wondering why it only shows newbie post when you've added the word patrol on the link.

Will add this on the content, thanks again!

Is this another hidden page? I might add it on the list of Hidden Pages I posted.

Great info. I discovered the patrol function about a couple of weeks back. I, however, had no idea that one could play around with it to one's liking.

2 and 3 being among the first boards that are missing and part of the historic beginning of bitcointalk forum, I am really curious in knowing what the names of the boards could have been before the got removed.

I'm not sure it's really a hidden page as such, it's just the standard XML sitemap.

There are various boards which are not accessible to standard members, such as the Staff Board and the VIP/Donator Board. Just because some board numbers aren't visible, doesn't necessarily mean the board was removed.

I visit that page, look at it but still don't actually get what it means. I get it list recent posts in all boards, excluding posts in Bounties (altcoins). I guess so because that page provides recent posts in so many boards. Can you confirm this, please?

I visit that page, look at it but still don't actually get what it means. I get it list recent posts in all boards, excluding posts in Bounties (altcoins). I guess so because that page provides recent posts in so many boards. Can you confirm this, please?

Yes, it excludes bounty posts, which are a pain in the ass to scroll through and useless for most purposes of the patrol page (e.g. reporting shitposts).
