Yes, Ethereum's hardfork (Constantinople) had completed as seen on etherscan. Let's see what the upgrade brings, hopefully it will be positive. Talking about improvement in consensus algorithm, I think it will go a long way in the development of Ethereum project.

It was an upgrade but people were waiting for another coin to come of it but were disappointed. I do not hold any of ethereum only ethereum classic so did not expect anything to manifest from this hard fork. But many on social media were asking why the price has not changed since it was a hard fork. I believe it was just an upgrade to the network so to make it more secure as was mentioned many times before it happened. |

They must be developers who were testing the fork and to be sure it was done correctly this time. They both have laptops infront of them well atleast one of them does including Vitalik. |

It's great to see Ethereum moving forward with this important upgrade that will pave the way for becoming proof of stake and thus more energy-efficient. Those complaining that they did not get new coins don't understand that new coins have a tendency to dilute the value of the main chain due to increased supply. |

Wise to do in this kind of news is to invest so many will really do that so eth can grow anytime now and actually it happen already because it grow little by little then i think btc and some alts are possible to go grow too or vice versa so this are can happen
Then in eth i think this will become popular like bitcoin and very useful also here in crypto so buy now like this is really affordable then this will turn like btc price in market

I am glad to hear that this time the hardfork Constantinople was completed successfully. It remains to wait and see what effect it will have on the ethereum network and how much this will affect the increase in the popularity and price of ethereum. I would like to agree on his statement. Bitcoin is so old-school for me especially the transfers, ETH is much faster and is a lot more useful than BTC. But value-wise, BTC might be an antique but is so valuable while ETH is a modern invention that can't be auctioned yet.

I believe it was just an upgrade to the network so to make it more secure as was mentioned many times before it happened. any fork (whether you call it soft, hard, upgrade, blah blah,...) has a risk of splitting the network into two different chains. when it is a hard fork that risk is higher, that is partly the reason why people were expecting a split. another reason is because many of them were newbies who have no idea what is going on and always associate the word "fork" with "split" and "upgrade" with "no-split" whereas they are not really different. the only reason why no split happened was because this was NOT the PoS fork but only a small part of it. and they are doing this to prevent miners from preventing the fork. in other words they are forcing the PoS switch while reducing the risk of defiance.... classic centralized move  |

It hasn't been reflected in the price yet but good to see that the hard fork was successful. This means that the future of ethereum is going to continue moving upwards with scalability issues being resolved along with reduced inflation

Dont think it will reflect in the price until the coin goes completely proof of stake then it will make it more valuable to hold for most who do not have alot of them in the first place. |

Yeah it has passed, but I think almost no one has mentioned some changes on the market. I can understand that crypto needs some time to recover positions but I hoped that this hardwork will push the market forward.
