You could use @ddmrddmr dashboard to analyse if he changed his merit habits to different ranks over time. There is a tab for that.
 So that you can check that hypothesis of yours.
This is the beauty of that tool: it’s more powerful than many realise.

Have used his dashboard to fetch the merit information many times and there are so many ways we can utilise it but we have to explore it little bit and there is lot of information we can avail through it.Like we could see his merit sprees and the accounts he has given making past comparison could tell us the answers.

I was referring to analysing @ddmrddmr own statistics.

I remember back months ago where I will get merited by DdmrDdmr in a particular post like 1 or 2 merits and later on he will add to the merits again. These days I hardly encounter DdmrDdmr post or feel his merit on my profile. Could it be that he changed or I am the person that changed?

It could be that he pays more attention to full members - newbies more than Snr member and above rank.

Either you became a worse poster than before or DdmrDdmr changed some criteria by which he distributes Merits - I don't think it matters in the end. I have nothing against him focusing more on those who need merits more in order to advance in the ranks.

Version 22 - 03/07/2022  (192 posts merited (by me) in just under 3 minutes) -> 216 sMerits
Remerited all my merited posts since my last spree (+ some backlogged pending ones), for non-banned users (from last friday backwards).

Full doubler again ... remeriting each concerned post with the same amount of merits as the first time.
That should equate to having handed out a higher amount to begin with, effectively converting 1->2 , 2->4, 3->6, and so forth.
Already remerited posts are not merited again, nor are some accounts I've gor under observation.

So maybe if your post already received a merit and remerit, no more reremerit. xD

After so long he ignored me out of merit, but today he glanced at me again. LOL
I don't know if it's because the quality of my posts is getting worse or maybe I don't run into him very often on the forum when posting, so there's a gap between April to July for 1 merit.

About what happened on 15th, I  needed explanation till I remember I saw this thread once and skipped it, now I came back to read it.
I logged in my account on 15th and noticed some merit spray in it, as usual I had to check the profile and see why I earned the merit. I was surprised when I was scrolling down, down a down, merits sent on 15th couldn't end. I said "shebi na my eyes dey pain me?"
I wasn't bothered much about how fast and accurate he sent the merits, because all the merits landed on quality posts. I was curious to know how many smerits can a merit source have per month?

I propose a title for DdmrDdmr. I'll call him "The merit sprayer or the joy giver of the forum"

I have been told by other Merit Sources they have lower allocation than that.
Cannot be certain about the worthiness of such information for obvious reasons.

This means that there is a factor that theymos uses to measure the amount of smerits allocatable to a merit source. It could be how effective one is in spreading merits among wider range of members. If that be the case it means the likes of DdmrDdmr and yourself should have the maximum. Though 1000 is a way high to distribute monthly, unless the smerits roll over to the next month.

Merit sources' each point of (merit source) sMerit replenishes at 1 month after it was spent.

I guess it depends on each merit source's habits and activity (meaning topics read) how much merit they can spend; I know merit sources were asking for more, I know cases some were spending much less than the monthly quota (I don't know though if that still happens).

For a generous merit source, they may ask for more merit to spend the following month. But it's true, some merit sources may not be able to spend their monthly quota due to habit or something that hinders them inside or outside the forum. Being a merit source is a free job, so no one can force them to spend all that quota every month though so far I think some sources have been deactivated/expelled for being inactive for a long time. My guess is it still happens.

I understand that each merit source receives an amount set by Theymos. Some may get to send 300 sMerit per month, some get less, and some get more.

My smerits raise and lower with the amount I send. I have been really tied up for an entire year and have dropped my distribution of merits so I am gaining hoarded merits for last year this definitively lowered my merits awarded.

As for ddmrddmr giving away that many merits that quickly you can if you open a lot of pages and then give the merits.

Someone busyness has different levels, both in the forum and outside the forum. If you just speculate maybe he's doing this, maybe he's that way, and will never find the answer. @ddmrddmr has done something for the forum beyond normal human limits, he has engraved it in gold ink.

The alarm might be stuck, so it might be a little slower than usual. All I can say is, he will definitely come back and will increase his tx number of merit transactions in the shortest possible time. I'm very curious about how many tabs he has open while sending multiple benefits in a short period of time to tens to hundreds of users, and at this point I think he has a special tool but he probably does it manually.

Never beg for merit, it's not justified and I think it will annoy anyone making you more likely to be ignored. Do it naturally where you only need to prove it with the quality of the posts you have. There are many users who want to help, this is not limited to merit source because users of non-merit source can also play an active role in the distribution of merit.

But wait, please don't get me wrong, I don't know exactly what your purpose is, but it looks like you have some hope of getting some out from him. I don't really think it's begging, but maybe some people don't like it.

Not sure if that's the case, but fillippone definitely has the advantage considering the amount of merits they receive compared to DdmrDdmr, and the amount they send. Using the longest available data on the forum (120 days); fillippone has sent 4149 merits, and received 1377, while DdmrDdmr has sent 2640, and received 780. So, DdmrDdmr has their work cut out for them if they want to compete in the long term .

I think most of the top merit senders on that list are sending a massive amount, and also receiving a decent amount too, and are relatively active, so I don't think the list will change massively this side of the year. Obviously, the latest figures of 30 days is close, but I tend to favour long term data when its available, as it's generally more accurate. Obviously, not always.

suchmoon is probably the most noteworthy, being ahead by quite some bit, but not sending as much as the others in the last 120 days. Actually, receiving more merit, than sending it, which isn't common for those in the top 10.
