I can guarantee Hhampuz is going to play..but it sure would be nice to get a few more people.
Hhampuz seems to know his sport and unfortunately because the rules state predictions have to be made 2days before the start of a game I can't participate in this round...would have liked to challenge for a prize spot.

And OP could clarify if you miss the first round can one join at a later round?

I agree that would be better to make prizes just for top 3, because there are not many players and prize pool isn't very big.

Petition to skip the 3rd & 4th prize as they are less than entry cost and it would suck winning either of those but they could make 1st & 2nd prize a bit more sweet.

Perhaps late but if everyone were to agree I think that'd be great Smiley
That would be fine with me if everyone agrees then I'm agreeing too.

Would it better to simplify the betting ways like bidding a pool and then winners takes the loser's bet by dividend and to which corresponds to their bet? Or let's go ahead peer to peer betting using escorow.

betting game like predicting the results is hard. This is a complicated thing for the likes of me.

Anyway good luck on whoever win the betting.

Complicated is what you just proposed, what?! lol

Have we decided on payout? We should wrap that up before we get much further. I hope that at most we have 2 payouts. The pot is too small to have more than that. Thanks.

Without further ado, I decided to agree with the majority of the participant in adjusting and removing the 3rd and 4th prize. The 1st place will be 60% and the 2nd place will be 25%, please look at my 2nd post in the 1st page for the numbers of participants and the exact new prizes.

That should be 60/40. Can we also hear the opinion of other participants, we can call this a majority decision if others will give their vote on the proposal.

I’d rather see something like 75/25 (after all in the words of Ricky Bobby, “if you ain’t first you’re last”). But I’m just glad we’re going with only 2 payouts. Good luck to all.

The original division of the prize per place was

1st place  :  50% of the total pool
2nd place :  20% of the total pool
3rd place  : 10% of the total pool
4th place  :  5% of the total pool

I just distributed the 3rd prize to 1st and 4th to 2nd.

Then let's make it

1st place  :  60% of the total pool
2nd place :  30% of the total pool

The current prizes right now would be:
PRIZE POOL BTC0.03509438
1st place: BTC0.021056628
2nd place: BTC0.010528314

just like hilariousandco with his Bitcointalk's UEFA Champions League Football Preditor Pool £25 in btc. The 10% would go to me as I'm the one who facilitate the pool, I hope it make things clear to all, Thanks!

Was you taking the 10% said upfront in the OP? I don't remember reading it. I'm just gunna be honest and say that's pathetic that you're taking any % to host this. I've hosted COUNTLESS fantasy/gambling leagues and never once took a single satsohi.  I'm sorry to hear this and certainly wont be participating in another where the host takes a cut.

I agree with you,
I actually thought the %age cut was actually going to the escrow, that'd have been understandable.

Hhampuz knows best, if you all just read my post since I started this thread the original prize pool of 1st - 4th place was  50%, 20%, 10%, 5% respectively, so the total prize pool was 85% and I just increased it to 90% today. If Hhampuz decided to take the remaining 10% then it'd be fine with me but he said to me before "I won't need any payment".

Guys I'm being honest with you and I'm not hiding that 15% before.

1st place  :  50% of the total pool
2nd place :  20% of the total pool
3rd place  : 10% of the total pool
4th place  :  5% of the total pool

I"m assuming this was the original percentage of distribution. Honestly I did not notice that the total was not 100%.
You took a cut but it was not directly mentioned, so it's kinda confusing on our part.

I suggest next time if ever you will still host again another competition, be more specific to promote transparency.

“if you all just read my post “

Are you being serious? We DID read your post, and you sneakily didn’t mention that you were taking a cut. Yes, sure, we should have brought up something about the discrepancy with the payouts not totaling up to 100%. I have never taken a cut for running any sort of league as I mentioned, but if I ever were going to..I’d say so up front. I’m guessing no one else here has either, so it’s not something that was even considered by any of us, because it’s out of the norm. That’s a material fact being left out. It’s not like it’s a lot of money, but it’s the principle of it all.

Yeah Hhampuz didn’t take a cut because he’s an awesome dude, even though it would have been understandable considering he is the escrow.

I able to follow this thread from Page 1 and 2 and now while browsing the pages here, I read that OP will have a commission out of nowhere.  It's small amount but as a host he have to be professional.

Having a commission is fine but it should properly disclosed. And as far as the established competitions here are concern, I don't see any new host yet who take a cut.

I doubt someone will participate on his next competition. He intenionally dissemulated that information to mislead the participants. He could have easily stated where the 15% is going but he opted not to. That is clear deception by not stating an information.

To calm all of you, especially those registered participants. I decided to change it again and hope this will be the final and would be fine with the 6 participants. With me having 0% commission, again it's fine with me I have no intention to deceive anyone of you.

1st place: 60% prize pool

Great decision, no confusion here from now on, so let's finish this competition and enjoy the game.
I would love to give OP a tip if I win this competition.  Grin
