Plenty of fake businesses register all around the world, rent a space in office buildings and act like they're a big international company with hundreds of employees and in reality it's John and Jill posting from their 1 bedroom apartment. Want a recent example? Here's Bitcoin fund manager. His account got nuked, but he kept going for a year.

Taxes are due once a year, if you scam people today you'll be obliged to pay in 2020. By that time you'll be long gone. Most scam websites run for less than 6 months and disappear.
