Brave Browser: Now users can earn Basic Attention Token (BAT) for viewing ads

Someone using Brave Browser for a longer time? What is the expected earning per month? I have heard that it is around 5USD monthly, but for 5USD I won´t change my browser that I am used to and who would do that? Passwords, addons, history everything gone for 5USD? 

Passwords, addons, history - all this you can transfer to another browser, and in brave too, after installing, it will offer you to import settings and as I remember there is easy to do it.

Anybody else here NOT getting any ads at all since one week? I don't get many anyway, I guess because of my country, but I still can get maybe 2 or 3 a day if I'm really paying attention, and on bad weeks 3 or 4 a week. But since last weekend I haven't got a single ad at all. Don't see any official update so maybe ads drying up...

As far as I know, it is still not available for every country, I am still on the list. The only way how can I get the profit is by referring to new people. For every new referral, you got 5 bucks in BAT token.

I think that way it still doesn't get many people interested, they should be able to give at least $10 for new people to invite so that it will trigger other cryptocurrency users to invite their friends or other people to participate in the BAT platform.

This is a good feature from brave browser community. I have used it for more than 1 year. But one can earn very less amount of bat token from ads viewing daily. But something is better than nothing. And also bat has a huge potential on the crypto market.

I have read about Brave partnering with one of the top crypto card games called Splinterlands.

If you are old brave users well thats worth it. But if you are new that want to earn from ads you need to first buy the tokens to be able to verify the wallet .you need a minimum 25 bat tokens to verify it and to recieve rewards for having an ads.
No idea why they make this but its not good for those new to this program and have difficulty to understand block chain .

Brave has made a partnership with bitcoin.com so now Brave users can purchase the crypto through the Browser.

It makes me wonder why users cannot purchase Bitcoin and maybe there will be other coins offered with BCH.

I read that and I stopped reading those ads since I have to verify my wallet, beside the number of ads that is being offered to me is only 2 to 5 daily not something that you can earn a lot I prefer to earn BAT through publish0x it's much easier because you just rate articles and you can earn more if you are a good writer and you create a lot of articles in their platform.

Brave has been doing many strange things lately. This is another one. The project was started to do many things differently. No spying, no hurdle to earn crypto, etc. All this is now gradually being put right. I do not understand the strategy of Brave behind it anymore. I used the browser as main browser on the desktop and mobile. I do not do that anymore.

I'm a long time brave user. I guess it's been almost a year, maybe? I don't remember. I'm sorry if it's wrong.
I don't care about the bat token. I don't even know the function aside from the brave shield logo, the brave team is not very transparent, in my opinion, but all this time, I used their product.

The Brave Rewards program is not very profitable, not really worth it. and I was disappointed with the amount paid because it was far from expectations.

Hmm. I just got verified and I don’t have any BAT tokens. are they gonna take some fee from me if I try to actually use the account? 


I’ve been using Brave (again) for a month or so and just decided to look at the ad and cryptocoin parts. I hadn’t looked at it or activated it ‘till yesterday. Before trying to earn anything I thought I’d check out what it’s like to actually try and get money out (to fiat currency, such as USD) ... Lotta people don’t think about that until far too late and perhaps realize, for example, that the sale price and buy price are not the same and they’ve been looking at mirages the whole time.  So I created a wallet (super low security online one) and began the process to create an account and get verified with uphold. After verifying my email address I hit some sort of glitch (I can’t remember what, didn’t matter) and dropped it. Today I got an uphold email reminding me to continue and verify my email address. So I verified/re-verified it and went to do the verification process and was pretty much instantly verified.  Just did so in-browser on iOS; didn’t need to install the Uphold app.

There are so many levels of trust (and/or expert analysis and understanding) involved in relying on cryptocoins that I’ve never felt pulled to take a plunge. In hindsight, that cost me millions ‘cause I could’ve set up a bitcoin miner back when it made sense to set up a regular PC as a bitcoin miner; miners weren’t even using FPGAs/GPUs/DSPs let alone ASICs!  Woe!  I read a bunch and downloaded the source code but never bothered to set up the operation! 
I’m curious to see the date when I set up this account appear when I hit send... I don’t remember.  Probably years after that but still I expect it was when bitcoin was worth practically nothing in comparison to where it’s at.  I’m sure…  Here goes!

I would say so yes there are enough people willing to watch computer ads for satoshis.    Just look at how many people use crypto faucets.

It is a similar concept and its a working one.  You just need to stare at your screen and you will earn free bitcoin.  It is not difficult and if you are already viewing your screen you can earn easy money too.

Sure? Brave's wordwide market share is less than 1% while Firefox has around 17-20% and Chrome around 70-75% (in some countries up to 90%). It is still a long way to go for Brave to be in a row with Chrome, Edge and Firefox.
