Why did the orphan rate suddenly jump so high?

http://bitinfocharts.com/comparison/orphaned-qrk.html

Do you think it could it be related to the fact that one pool is responsible for ~95% of the global hash rate? Wink

the coin is really centralized these days, but orphans is because it's block time is very low

Spacing between blocks is 30 seconds which is too short a period. Do not fall for impractical coins like Fastcoin because they are fast, what is really happening is a huge amount of wasted hash power as several blocks get minted for every genuine block. I do not see a future for wasteful coins but remember that they could hard fork to change the behaviour if anyone cares.

About 50 seconds is the time when you see a drop off in orphans and 60 seconds is a solid choice. The 2.5 minutes chosen by Litecoin seems very conservative now and Bitcoin's 10 minutes seems like an age to wait.

Hirocoin - New unique feature just added. We will be the new home for GPU miners when those Scrypt ASICs hit.

I agree.

Maxcoin's 30 seconds block time makes orphan problems and very low stability to mine.

Miner need to change block work every 30 seconds, which means if p2p network delays 1 second, they lose 3.3% to catch than other pools.
Network delay problem is unsolvable right now.

El Dude is a desperate Litecoin bag holder which Max Keiser dumped on his head and now he is desperately trying to hold potential Cryptos. He is trying to get you to buy Litecoins so that he can compensate his fuck up. The guy has no life.

El Dude this subreddit suites you the best since you have no life www.reddit.com/r/nofap

lol it's like comparing Bitcoin to Litecoin and mocking Litecoin because it has lower volume. Your comment doesn't make sense.

Liste El Dude if you don't want to be screwed again sell your Litecoins this time. It's going to get pump and dumped hard on Huobi and you will save yourself all the sorrow that you will have to go through again in wasting your time here to collect Litecoin buyers to compensate your screw up.

http://bitinfocharts.com/

Quark doesn't have the necessary requirements to get 30 sec confirmation time.
it was lousely coded, ask anyone that knows about the code. (since it is open)

the only reason it is this high is cause they made mining difficult, and no one has enough to sell it down.
which is also the reason it will never proliferate.

Sell quark. Buy MEC

I take Quark over MEC all day. It was the first which made multiple hashing algorithm big. Its one of the biggest hashing family. Also it's infrastructure and community is much better than mec. It is also added to www.VaultofSatoshi.com, www.Bongocoin.com, MuCoWa multi wallet and soon https://moolah.io one of the rising Payment systems. These platforms only add potential Cryptos and MEC is nowhere to be seen.

Quark also has a EURO payment processor already. The introduction video of MEC was very amateur, where Quarks does projects very professionally, it has it's own press team, designers team, it's foundation. Everything is getting organised. You can see it in their Reddit that they care. Quark has the image to go big, especially it's name.

Quark is far better than TRC, BTC-e are a bunch of money hungry bitches, they got bribed to add useless Novacoin. They should delete TRC/NVC and FTC and add some fresh blood and Quark should be a choice. Since it's already a popular choice amongst Payment processors like LitePaid, Bongocoin and soon Moolah. Also Vault of Satoshi has only like 5/6 Cryptos and Quark is one of them.

Really funny to see all these with their own pump and dump coins battling other pump and dumps.

Its a very competitive pump and dump market.

I only counter argument and correct those who run around nitpicking and mocking potential Cryptos without even following them. To be honest i wish everyone here to get rich in the Crypto they have. We are all together. I have been into the Litecoin community since it was $ 22 cents and Bitcoiners where bashing and mocking Litecoin all the time. Now Litecoin has gained value guys like El Dude think they can go on a bashing spree.
