The proof-of-work also solves the problem of determining representation in majority decisionmaking.  If the majority were based on one-IP-address-one-vote, it could be subverted by anyoneable to allocate many IPs

I think Satoshi simply dont think that he could limit the number of "IPs" and create a PoW.

The solution I am proposing is so simple that it is interesting that no one has thought of it already.

Pascalcoin came very close but still used the PoW to solve the double spending problem.

I was thinking that the number of accounts maybe not need be so limited. Could be slowly increased without any problem.

But how can we have a fixed number of accounts, how new users will come.
How exchanges can list such thing as they create a large number of accounts.

If you want, it can be that there will be certain genesis accounts which can run nodes.then only year old accounts can be part of nodes, where existing nodes votes to add more nodes every month or so,
Or after initial nodes addresses, each month specified nodes can be added with some voting or queue

>> Well, its a good point. The system can start with a large number of accounts, but when this number became scarce, it will be big problem. I think the best way is to allow any account to create another one (maybe paying, burning some coin). I prefer solutions that keep the system purely p2p, without special nodes. But maybe something as you propose is more effective, I do not know. About exchanges, they can work with one account, like they do with fiat money. But if binance wants to list us, we can create accounts as much as they want.

if we can put this idea in practice, we will be the most decentralized coin.

Today, almost everybody keep their coins in exchanges and never create a node.

this will change if news coins follows this Proof-of-Care protocol.

people definitely should understand and take care of the money system they use.
