ICO will be replaced by IEO

Binance has raised fund for two projects and they have offered their 3rd project which sell will be at March 19 or 21 of instant. It's Celer Network. Their previous two projects were successful and I hope this one will also be a successful one.
However, it seems Bittrex is also following the same and there is an IEO on their platform too. Can IEO replace the ICO?

Can is an understatement, the right word should be IEO will replace ICO, looking at both, there is no much difference though, just that participating in a crowdfunding program through an exchange will be better than dealing directly with the ICO, at least Binance and another exchange that wishes to join in the IEO race will make sure that whatever project they are registering for crowdfunding is one with a viable project and verified.

This will make it lots secured for intending investor and gradually shift their attention to IEO.

I think it's possible especially if it's safer than the ICO which are containing so much scam in it.
So it will all depend on the crypto itself and the acceptance of the public for the new system.

Yes, I won't be surprised if IEO replaces ICO entire because this are business men and will only find ways to make money.

Though, I am also scared about this IEO move because that was how the ICO move started by a few legit companies, then a lot of scammers who had that ICO was one of the easiest way to make money took advantage of the market and started to create fake projects that comes up with fake promises that will never be fulfilled even if they were able to raise up to the hard cap needed.

ICO will soon be replaced in the coming time when the IEO and STO are being evaluated to have a better development potential than many ICO. If this happens, everyone will avoid fraudulent projects and we can easily earn better profits. It may take a long time but the current ICO is dead and you don't need to worry too much at this time

I have not been able to confirm this, but with the IEO investors are more confident with new projects. this will definitely have an impact on cryptocurrency. when seen by Bittorent at binance yesterday, I realized that many people were interested in this if the project was in a large exchange. for now I think the IEO is a good way to minimize the risk of Scam projects. The exchange will definitely be very careful to cooperate with new projects, they will definitely carry out very strict verification. and this will benefit investors.

It is a good thing they came up with this idea, at least we will be able to start seeing substantial growth in crypto currencies because intending investors that has been on hold in investing in Cryptocurrency because of the ICO situation will start pumping in money again which might make us see a bull trend in BTC and ETH since majority of the coins will require BTC or ETH coins as means of exchange.

This is really a welcome development and I do hope that smart scammers will not infiltrate it again but before then, let me take advantage of this opportunity too. STO and IEO may bring back confident into crypto space among investors which will definitely lead to win-win situation for all of them.

I don't think there is any difference between ICO and IEO. They all just ICO, the difference is just one is on their own platform and the other one using Binance and Bittrex platform called launchpad. And I don't think this "Launchpad" platform is something new, there are already some exchanges that do the same thing like Latoken, GBX, and other exchanges. Binance and Bittrex Launchpad got high hype because they already have big name as exchange, but many small exchange has done the same thing as them for quite a while.

Honestly, this is the best trend right now compared to that STO. Investors will be confident that their money is on the right place because a reputable exchange like Binance will surely strictly review these projects before advertising it on their platform. It's the best way to get rid of scam ICOs and bring back the trust of new investors or past investors again in this industry.

Probably not but certainly 2019 will be the year of the IEO. There are now a lot of trading platforms planning to run an IEO.

They are successful in crowdfunding but we cannot tell if they are going to be successful in a long term, IEO is a new crowdfunding term we will have to see if those projects funded by IEO really lives up to investors expectation we'll see after 5 months or even lesser.

not. I think ICO will always be there. but at least the IEO can reduce the ICO rating. I think the IEO will only be applied in some large Exchange like Binance. and reality. IEO is simpler and more efficient.

It will only get rid of ICO scams provided most project migrate to IEO and I do hope their policies for IEO is not too strict to force the project into staying with ICO, if they can succeed in making virtually every crowdfunding projects migrate to IEO, then we can be rest assured that they will regain the trust of potential investors out there and aside the scam issue too, is to also be sure that whatever project they are listing is very viable and will definitely continue to grow in the long run and not eventually turn to shitcoins they will end up delisting themselves.

This is the expectation of this community but how far this new trend will go by keeping their word will be a time determinant. I remember ICO industry was highly successful when crypto market was trading positive but in downfall, due to lack of investors, most ICOs ended up failing due to improper managements.

if the IEO has a positive impact, I think ICO will really be defeated by the IEO system. however, there are currently many programs that want to go beyond the ICO so that investors will trust the development of the project again.

ICO and IEO are two common types of token issuing considerations.
Both have the negative and positive sides that can be the consideration when helding token issuing.
IEO itself stands for Initial Exchange Offering, in which a project will be listed on a certain listing without selling token or coin through ICOs.
ICO itself is the most common use of the token issuing in order to introduce, promote, and also offer certain token or ICO to raise certain funds.
I don't know which is best, however, it will depend on how your project will be and how your team can develop and grow the token or coin after on listing.

Yes, i heard projects that raised fund on binance is really success and sold out under 1 hour, that is so fast. I guess ICO will be replaced by IEO.

Many projects will trying to ask binance to partnership to get IEO too. I think bounties will become dead if this keep happening.

Maybe this will be a really serious substitute, maybe now people will understand that projects as a whole have real goals and will begin to invest again in investing. even if the reputation of this whole market rises today.

If its just bitcoin holders using their bitcoins to buy into these new coins than there is really no point to it that helps the whole crypto currency market, its just helping the new coins, but if people actually deposit fiat to buy these coins (even if not all of them but some of the investors) than we will have some new money coming into crypto currency market which is what we need.

I do not want to see top coins get diluted into even more coins to be honest with you, we already have bunch of coins that are worthless, we have more than 2 thousand coins on coin market cap website now (probably more coins that are not even there), do we really need that much coins? I do not think so, I think if a new coin is coming out on the market it should at least bring in new fiat to the market, if not its totally useless to us.

A better way to regain the trust of the ICO or crypto related companies that want to engage in a more serious matter. Their liability can be filtered already by the exchange that can make the project succeed.

Like as Binance held 3 successful IEO, if it continues, people will invest more into IEO. With the success ratio, new people will join the crypto market and as a result new money will also come in the market for sure. I know this IEO will give another ATH for the potential coin.

This is already happening, the exchanges do not give a 100% guarantee that you will get a profit, but there is a guarantee that your money will not disappear with the developers.

Personally i still prefer the ICO with the smart contract of receive ICO token once contribution is made
Somehow IEO could be bias there because you must be registered to an exchange and pass certain KYC.
If i just wanted to buy a coin, why should i provide my identity evidence for a 3rd party exchange, isn't it?

I am not sure that the ICO can be replaced with the IEO, but if 2019 will be the beginning of the development of several IEO projects, I am very much in agreement.
maybe even in the future, all tokens will be purchased on exchange directly without having to have a smart contract like some coins that do ethereum-based ICOs
