Only theymos can do that.

He usually doesn’t unless there is a very good reason and if he’s available. If it’s just a casual changing, he’ll probably not do it.

Just create a new account with the desired username and forget about this account. You can always start over. It's cheaper than 50 BTC now. 😛

Your name doesn't decice who your are. You're a well known translator (by positive feedbacks), it's a good basis for your development. Fyi, Google is a meaningless combination of letters but virtually everyone knows it. Besides, BTT has over 2.5 million users, pobably your desire name was taken by someone else.

Just create a new account if you really badly need to use another name.
Merits aren't really hard to get these days if you are a good poster and like helping members around. Within a couple of months, you should have already ranked up to your current member position.

Have you ever tried to contact theymos and ask him to do it for you? I've heard that theymos allow people to change their name especially when your username is somehow inappropriate or unacceptable. In 2016, you can change your username with 10 bitcoin only compared to 2013, it was 50 btc as what stated above.

The best thing that you can do is to create a new account and start over or keep your username as it is. Today, username won't tell someone his skills, it's their portfolio who will speak. You can break the wall of ranking up if you know how to earn merit to rank up.

If you have to pay 10 btc or even 50 btc, to change the username, then you should consider making a new account with a new username and then buy  a copper membership.

 But on the other hand, your username ain't that bad, so if you just want to use it to chat and learn about crypto, then you should not change it.
