I don't think law of attraction applies to gambling at all. I agree that at best, it's a confidence booster. But you don't want to be all too cocky when it comes to gambling as the more you're sure you can win, the more prone you are to losing a lot. Thinking that you have a better chance than others doesn't attract luck the way positive thinkers atttact good results.

I guess that's the keyword, "see". Basically you get to the point that you're positivism allows you to not see or at least minimize the sting of losses. So losses, you don't remember them as much and they're just a blur even if you make records while wins are emphasized more. "It's all in the head" as they say.

I feel the only (indirect) way it might help with winning is to allow you to stick to your betting strategy of choice long enough to see a win rather than going home with nothing.

Correct, and yet I think there is a room for a "winning mindset" in gambling, only it shouldn't be about winning money. If before starting a game you think "I love this game, so I'm in a win-win situation: if lose money while playing, I'll enjoy the game at least, and if I win some money, well, that won't hurt." If you think of it, it actually makes sense

The point is, if you have a positive "winning" mindset in the way you describe it, you are going to win in the end, purely statistically. To put it differently, if you don't believe you are going to win, it is unlikely that you will continue to play. That seems a plausible assumption, right? Thus, no play no win (otherwise known as nothing venture nothing have). Conversely, if you have that mindset, you will play irrespective of losses, and sooner or later you are going to win, or even hit a jackpot down the road. Point proved
