Whatever it is, I think scammers really make a lot of people angry. What they do is the actions of criminals and they take advantage of our weaknesses. I agree if they are given a sentence and I hope security must be improved.

Actually that's an awful way to suffer. I think they should suffer in jail and will not have any way to free out until they died. That is more applicable for those scammers. Im not saying I hate them in such way that I want them to get killed or by death penalty but let them suffer on their sin that they wish that they didnt do such a crime. Something like that!

Yes i agree on that maybe death penalty is not a good penalty for ico scammer. But maybe whole life imprisonment is good for them. Because they are not really doing fair in the community of crypto, scammer can also make the crypto down because it can really decrease the trust of the people who used crypto that is why there are always a bad effect in crypto market.

I am in favor of such punishment. We always have a tendency to downplay financial crimes. I will give you an example. If someone murders a human being in a fit of rage, then a lot of us will argue that he should be given death penalty. But if I argue that the Mt Gox hackers should be given the death penalty, then I think the vast majority will remain opposed to that. It is despite the fact that the Mt Gox robbery had caused multiple suicides (a lot of people committed suicide after their life-savings were lost) and many hundreds were turned destitute.

Our weakness as participants or investors in an ico is that there is no initial agreement based on law that makes the team freely conduct scams and not afraid of a sentence. therefore, before ico starts, there must be an agreement in advance concerning the law so that there is no scammer.

The same ico scammers keep doing the same thing over and over and its the same gullible suckers who keep falling for it.  Certainly most of the blame lies with the ico scammers but part of it belongs to those investors who were too greedy and stupid to research what they were investing in in the first place.

I would say most victims of icos treat investing like gambling, and they are the same ones frequenting the investor based games section of the forum and think its actually a game.  You do either of those things, you shouldn't complain when the thief runs away with your money.

I agree with you that punishment is in accordance with justice which is a pretty good thing than we punish those who do not provide solutions. they must be able to be responsible for the actions and investors' funds that they have taken

Thats is fun to hear, and iif possible to capture those scammers i 100% agree for death penalty. Market will be cleanse and investor fears will gone. No this is not different to fiat scammers or con artists. Punishment yes, but not the death penalty. Death penalty should be strictly used for really serious offenses, such as murder and terrorism (albeit the chinese would probably do it, as they do in theory to their corrupt officials).

Also what would you do when the (de-facto) government of a nation is the one responsible for the ICO Scam? Do you have any idea how much was collected and "lost" by the Petro ICO scam? Can you even take them to the Hague tribunal for this?

I also experienced many ico SCAM projects. I hope that they meet proper punishment for their reality and their future and their whole family. However, if you want to execute them, it is very difficult. Scammers always know the best way to hide. But for the time being, ICO projects are attracting more investors because they have real teams and communities, so when you are an investor, verify the project information and invest one. Wiser way. I would have agreed to it, but thee are times that some developers are not scammers in the real sense of and if accused of it and then executed, that might be justice passed in the wrong direction.
If adequate investigation can be done and they are found guilty, all that they have stolen should be taken back from them and they should be made to pay in double or triple folds.
