The reason why I request to you to connect your miner directly to PC it's because I want to fix the 169.254.x.x first and make your miner set to static IP where you can manually put custom IP, subnet and DNS.
If you fix the 169.254 issue you can access the GUI or the miner's dashboard again directly from your PC that has no internet connection.(No WIFI)
If you can't still access it the only thing that I know can fix it is to reset it to factory default so that the IP will reset back to 192.168.x.x this is a common IP of the miner.
Ok, Can you try this method below?
- Change the PC to static and put the IP manually follow the image below.
- Now after setting it up make sure that you remove all connection from the PC like wifi and other LAN cables disconnect them.
- Next step is connect the miner again directly to PC.
- After that open angryIP scanner and put 192.168.0.0 to 192.168.255.255 as the image below.
- After that click the ping and sort it by ping. You should see alive IP's
- Now access every IP through a browser and I hope you can find the GUI of the miner.
If you are lucky reset it to factory default through the miner's GUI just somewhere after you log in.
- Now set your PC back to "obtain IP automatically"
- Open your command prompt(CMD) and type ipcofig /all now it should show the correct miner's IP
- Now access the miner again through a browser with the assigned IP
- Access the GUI and look for a network tab where you can set the miner to Static IP
- Now put this
IP: 172.16.2.90
subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
DNS: 8.8.8.8
- Then save
- Reboot the miner and remove the LAN cable from the PC and put it back to your router.
- This is the assigned IP of the miner
172.16.2.90 where you can access the GUI through the browser.
If this still doesn't work much better to bring this issue to official thread from here
